I was on a special boat team in the navy from 89'-'95. Originally was supposed to be a SeaBee but there was no way I was going to A school in Mississippi coming from PA.

I'd say I enjoyed about 90% of my time in service. I learned a lot about people in the service, good people from places a lot different than the candy coated suburb that I grew up in. most likely I would do it again, as I'm a glutton for punishment.

Special boat team my ass. Put a DD214 up with the personal information blacked out. I'll wait. :jerkit:

Army Reserve here. One of the best decisions I ever made. I would not have many of the things I have now or be as mature if it wasn't for joining. Thanks to everyone else that have served or currently serving.

Ranger Battalion for almost eight yrs. Loved it. yeah parts were boring but we have the best equipment, and besides an actual counterterrorism unit we had the best mission priority. I got out for my daughter I didnt want to miss her growing up. Did 2 deployments to Iraq and 5 to Afghanistan. Most of my superiors were easy to get along with. The best part of it though was how eay it was to get rid of dirtbags who didnt belong. Afterall who wants to fight next to someone who doesnt meet or exceed the physical and mental standards. If I was going to do it all over again I'd do the exact same thing. So many opportunities.

The military definitely makes you grow up quick. I joined at 18(air force). My job was outside everyday doing heavy construction. My idea of the military was hindered with poor higher ranking members. I spent the majority of my time deployed and selling gear to anyone at the base lol I'm glad I got out, it was fun for 6 years but with a family...no f'n thanks! God bless everyone who served, especially those who saw combat, wish I coulda been there with you

Military police for four years one year in Iraq. Would I do it all over again ? HEll YEA.. I hated my job but I loved the military ...If I could do it all over again I would do sf or ranger from the get go. And for the all the people that say its hard to get big no its not. You just have to eat more and any down time has to be at the gym ...Food is amazing in the service to minus mres unless you rat fuck em for the good stuff lol. It is def cool when your younger but once you want to settle down kiss a family good by honestly.

Army Signal and I love it best thing I have ever done for myself, my only regret is that I did not enlist earlier.

It really does not matter what branch your in, its a personal preference we are all on the same team.

I was always taught to lead by example and I do just that, respect is something that is earned.

I think they should make it mandatory 2 years for everyone after they graduate high school, these kids today lack discipline and are lazy not to mention wearing their pants half way down their ass fucking ridiculous.

We are living in a different world today.

To all who have served or who are serving now god bless and thank you.

Have a happy Memorial day.

Air Force has some pretty badass special ops teams, they just keep on the down low. The pay is always better in the AF as well because anytime those fuckers came to our base in italy they got 1500 more perdiem than navy because it wasn't "up to AF standards". And that was in the late 80's when 1500 was the base pay for a E4.
I did 5 years Navy Aircrew, I wish I'd have stayed for 20. The travel, the friends, the community is something special. Just make sure if your shooting for SEAL you don't let the recruiter give you a BS job like machinist mate, go EOD or gunners mate at the least.

The clones and cubicle drones will never know anything like what you'll experience. They fucked me up with the anthrax vaccination though. They experiment on us instead of prisoners, ain't that grand! Rolling in Desert Storm was pretty fucking cool though.

Currently active Army 8 years going and love every second of it!!! Just made e-7 list. 12 more to go.. From my experiences, SF, Delta and DEVGRU are badass loved these guys. Air force pjs r cool. Marine recon are hardcore(but not classified as special forces) regular seals are pre madonnas and rangers workout probably the hardest but can be retarded

Yeah, but it was "hurry up and wait" in almost twenty different countries.

Very happy to have served five years in the U.S. Navy. Had I realized at the end of my hitch just how quickly fifteen years was going to pass, well, I probably would have done my twenty.
same I wish I would stayed in for 20.

trust me you're safer jumping out than you are riding in them....remember military contracts for equipment go to the lowest bidding contractor (aircraft included).....
but then they make up that cost by going over budget

There are strong Rangers and there are smart Rangers seldom you meet one who is both. But you gotta love what we do. More like the swat team of the Army than anything.
