Some use it in much the same way as a bird calling for it's mates when in larger parties and derive a comfy feeling that they are in the company of peers when getting sporadic return laughs or chuckles from the audience. Of course there are those that simply have a limited vocabulary and have no self awareness that they sound ignorant or offensive to many others.
In most professional business environments those that use this word in groups are usually instantly marked as outcasts or people will remember who not to invite to the next important policy decision. Salary is usually tied to the level of respect your peers have for you and the amount of responsibility you are given. So the inappropriate use of this word in work and even social settings can lead to significant financial punishments and lost opportunity that will be transparent to most. Such will never comprehend why they make less money or others get promoted over them. It will also likely influence the class of potential mates that make themselves available to you. In essence how you communicate and how people perceive you shapes your whole life so one should exercise restraint or make conscious and deliberate choices in how you go about selecting your words.
In truth most people inwardly want to associate with individuals that make them feel uplifted or respect them with more refined and articulate interaction. To many using such words is also construed as being lazy in language and communication. Such see it as implicitly telling others that they are not important enough or respected enough to warrant the effort to be polite or more focused in their choice of words when interacting with them.
Of course when one interacts with a plumber or certain other occupations it would be appropriate to speak in the language of the plumber or native vernacular.

Some of what you say I can see - holding back for example and not saying what you REALLY feel - at the time. You (meaning anyone in this situation) would not be truthful or sincere though even to yourself). But there COMES A TIME when "FUCK YOU" is VERY APPROPRIATE regardless of the monetary costs - or others - and the word "fuck" has MANY meanings and certainly those that it is "aimed" at WILL understand the meaning of the spoken word - even better then that of the words of the Bible (I am NOT trying to be disrespectful here - just saying something that is ABSOLUTELY TRUE!).
I also believe it just may not be utilized ENOUGH. There sure seems to be a GREAT NEED in this world because this world certainly is in many ways fucked up. Just before my Dad passed away he told me something I already knew - there is only a few things in life that are really important - ALL the rest is pure BULLSHIT. While I am NOT trying to be basic or graphic - that sure says it!! He was (and IS) a DAMN GOOD MAN and KNEW ABOUT LIFE AND LIVING and LOVING others sincerely and honestly...
