Anybody remember that episode of SNL when they were trying to form the word FUCK with blue t-shirts and singing?

Cameron Diaz was in that one.

Ive never been offended even once, in my entire life.
*Disclaimer: That I can remember.

Offended??

I used that word in contracting outside people into my project.

Kinda goes like this.

Dear _________,

On 11/15/2004 you will fucking perform certain fucking duties otherwise, you will not getting fucking paid.

:haha:

:haha:

It's the most dynamic word in the whole English language.

How the fuck are you? I haven't seen you in too fuckin long. Remember the time we fucked that fuckin' whore and her fuckfaced brother came in with that big ass fuckin bat and we had to fuck that motherfucker over.

Sometimes.

Only at children's parties or with the elderly......wait, are we talking about saying it or doing it?

Fuck is by no means a bad word. Mater of fact a little more fucking and a little less talking and we'd all be better off.

Absolutely NOT. It is one of the few works that HAS many definitions that GO to the HEART of what a person is saying - TRUTHFULLY. When that word is said PEOPLE KNOW what is meant - no matter from where or what perspective it is utilized.

It's a marker for social class. Some use it in much the same way as a bird calling for it's mates when in larger parties and derive a comfy feeling that they are in the company of peers when getting sporadic return laughs or chuckles from the audience. Of course there are those that simply have a limited vocabulary and have no self awareness that they sound ignorant or offensive to many others.

In most professional business environments those that use this word in groups are usually instantly marked as outcasts or people will remember who not to invite to the next important policy decision. Salary is usually tied to the level of respect your peers have for you and the amount of responsibility you are given. So the inappropriate use of this word in work and even social settings can lead to significant financial punishments and lost opportunity that will be transparent to most. Such will never comprehend why they make less money or others get promoted over them. It will also likely influence the class of potential mates that make themselves available to you. In essence how you communicate and how people perceive you shapes your whole life so one should exercise restraint or make conscious and deliberate choices in how you go about selecting your words.

In truth most people inwardly want to associate with individuals that make them feel uplifted or respect them with more refined and articulate interaction. To many using such words is also construed as being lazy in language and communication. Such see it as implicitly telling others that they are not important enough or respected enough to warrant the effort to be polite or more focused in their choice of words when interacting with them.

Of course when one interacts with a plumber or certain other occupations it would be appropriate to speak in the language of the plumber or native vernacular. :D

I agree members of the any social order that use or resort to these means of expression are classless losers and should be dealt with in a manner befitting a pleb even if you are a patrician.:)

Hi OD,

Some of what you say I can see - holding back for example and not saying what you REALLY feel - at the time. You (meaning anyone in this situation) would not be truthful or sincere though even to yourself). But there COMES A TIME when "FUCK YOU" is VERY APPROPRIATE regardless of the monetary costs - or others - and the word "fuck" has MANY meanings and certainly those that it is "aimed" at WILL understand the meaning of the spoken word - even better then that of the words of the Bible (I am NOT trying to be disrespectful here - jsut saying something that is ABSOLUTELY TRUE!).

I also believe it just may not be utilized ENOUGH. There sure seems to be a GREAT NEED in this world because this world certainly is in many ways fucked up. Just before my Dad passed away he told me something I already knew - there is only a few things in life that are really important - ALL the rest is pure BULLSHIT. While I am NOT trying to be basic or graphic - that sure says it!! He was (and IS) a DAMN GOOD MAN and KNEW ABOUT LIFE AND LIVING and LOVING others sincerely and honestly...

John,
I am certainly sorry to hear of your father's passing. I am also certain that you had much respect and admiration for the man.

I am certain that you are happy that your father was able to find within him the ability and courage to meet what surely must have been a wonderful woman in his eyes and produce offspring. You owe your very existence to that relationship and your fathers ability to support and raise his family. No doubt he found it appropriate to ask your mother to marry him in a way that sounded genuine and respectful to her. I know that you are receptive to the great variety in life and are relieved that he probably asked her to marry him with words that likely were chosen deliberately and with tremendous forethought and with respect to the relationship. There is certainly diversity in opinions just as certainly as their are diversity in lifestyle choices and consequences. Notwithstanding the references to scat and the subject vulgar expression I suspect that like the dung bird and the cow-patty each person has within them the capacity to express exactly that which they seek as ideal in their mates and find an existence that they can be comfortable with. It should come as no surprise to anyone that how one sees themselves and values their own self-worth it is often reflected in the selection of their mates and in their words.

Take care John,
OD
