I guess the title says it all. Do you eat the same total calories on workout days as non-workout days? In other words, do you lower the rest of day's calories to compensate for your PWO shake?

Does it even matter or is weekly average all that matters?

Same for me as well...I may tick my carbs up a bit, but other than that I eat exactly the same.

I definitely eat more on gym days... it could be because I'm cutting and need the energy for a good workout.

I'm transitioning back to bulking and realized that the 400 cals (50g protein/50g carb) in my pwo shake is a significant amount of calories and didn't want to over do it(get fat).

no i eat the same food every day but on lifting days have post shake as well about 320 extra calories

I am having to increase as the catabolic state is nothing to shrug too....I love my absence of meals as a joke to the mind's eye...nothing eaten, nothing gained:roflmao:

I have to learn to increase, for the fuel is the most important.

Good luck!

For me, whether its a lifting day or not, I eat the same diet. I concentrate on eating a healthy nutritious and a balanced diet throughout the day.
