Well, a couple weeks ago, I was curling a barbell at the gym, when my right wrist goes "POP!". I was a bit worried, but my wrists are odd, and pop all the time when I do push ups, so I continued, and everything felt fine. The next day I woke up, and fucking ow. My wrist hurt every time I turned my hand. The following day it was still not better, so I curled dumbbells at the gym instead of the barbell, and everything was fine! I was confused at this, so I tried lifting the barbell slowly, and my wrist started to hurt like crazy when it was halfway up. Is the problem the way I'm lifting it? Or do I just have an inflexible wrist?

I cannot help... but will add that I too gave up curling barbells ages ago due to wrist/forearm pain that I don't get with dumbells.
An EZ bar was a waste of money as it doesn't help and I don't curl now anyway.

All I can tell you is that the wrist shouldnt move...and 99% of people who do curls are flailing the wrists to some degree. And you said barbell. So if youre curling with the barbell you want to have your elbows close to your body so your wrists don't have to overrotate.

Sounds like a strained tendon or muscle. I would see a doctor and make sure it recovers properly before you risk injuring it even worse.

My wrists were always sore one barbell curls till i strengthened them up a bit and kept them straight with my elbows tucked in
