Baked Beans

beans is awesome.. watch out for the high sugar in the canned ones though

Beans are OK. Too many carbs for so little protein. But as with all things, eaten in moderation you will be fine. Eating too many beans will cause you to lose social status.

I think that beans are an excellent food source.

(1) They are one of the few protein sources that do
not contain fat that come from an animal, and have
zero cholesterol or sodium. The government places them
in the pyramid with meats, fish, eggs, and milk.

(2) Contain practically every mineral needed by the body.

(3) Also have some sugar without an elevated glycemic load value.

(4) Plus, they high in fiber and known for producing bowel movements.

My favorite is the garbanzo bean.

some great info guys but I i should have been more clear the beans i was asking about
where tinned baked beans in tomato sauce

Cooking the beans yourself is definitely healthier,
assuming you do not add bad ingredients and cook
them properly.

You can make your own baked bean sauce with molasses, ketchup, mustard and hot sauce :) Make your beans, pour on the sauce and bake. Same thing but healthier. Either way unless you are cutting and you are only looking to eat a healthy diet then eat all the baked beans you want. They are great.
