Unfortunatelty yes. That is a high GI carb. Just because it says Basamati doesn't mean anything. There are 2 kinds of Basamati white and Brown. Brown Basamati would be the slow burning carb you are looking for. You can alway exchange it.
jodi i couldnt find basmati brown rice....the only thing i found was basmati long grain rice but this was white.... should i just get regular brown rice that is long grain.. thanx for the help
