... but running would probably burn more calories per hour.

More importantly though is which one do you enjoy more?
 
I would say biking. You can typically bike for longer than you can run, and so the net benefit is better.

No offense, but that's not the best logic to use.

What if it were slightly downhill? You could sit on your bike for an hour downhill, but you'd use much more energy running down that hill. Suddenly the running is much better...

But that's not the question, anyways. I'd guess that jogging or HIIT is better than biking, but it really depends on a lot of things such as which gears you use for the bike, whether you're simply trying to lose weight or increase cardiovascular health, etc. I would honestly say that HIIT is the best thing, but I can't say for sure. Of course, walking is an excellent exercise as well. As someone else said, choose what you'll enjoy and you'll probably stick to it.
 
i would say both! as that is what im doing right now. lost 11 pounds in 4 weeks with a good diet and 30 mins joggin and 30 mins on the bike 4 times a week!

I find it really hard to get my heart rate up while biking, either on stationary bike or outside... but you can burn a lot of calories doing both so I don't know.

yea if he was holding a lot of water i don't see why not. i used to be able to gain and drop like 10lbs in 1-2 days time during my carb deplete/carb up days.

Thats what I thought, cause in the machines the bike rpms depen upon you, In the walking machine the motor stay at a constant rate, obligating you to stay at that rithm
 
there is no better u could do bike with ur maximum effort and same for jogging but ofcourse exercises that involve more muscles burn more fats that's why swimming burns much fats.... but use the easier for u to do regularly i do cycling on the stationary bike for cardio because it's the only way for me to do it at home .....so the answer is ( jog if u can , bike if u can't jog but don't sit watching the tv )
