You guys are sounding like planet fitness. I'm 16 and the only way for me to ever fit in with a popular crowd is to drink. I however am to dedicated to bodybuilding to give in to peer pressure and I'm 16. I should be effected most, but I cut it out completely but not as sacrifice. One or two is still pointless. Beer tastes like shit anyway

I used to think this as well young one...One day you'll learn
 
Just curious and maybe taking a poll: How many of you feel that drinking can affect your gains? I know that some feel NO booze at all is the answer. Me? I have at least a beer each night and on the weekend a J.D. on the rocks. Hey don't answer this thread unless you are over 21......lol!

alcohol consumption decreases test production, it also interferes with lipolysis by interfering with the Krebs cycle. it also effects the sleep cycle so it can effect GH output as the majority of that is released during the first sleep cycle at night.

that is just one but there are dozens and dozens of studies about drinking the BAC and test production and none of them are good....
 
When you guys say it decreases test production, wouldn't that not matter if you are on synthetic testosterone?

My answer to OP:
Yes I drink. I am not a competitor. I do believe it hinders gains a little bit, but not enough for me to never do it. I'm all about enjoying life. Drinking is one thing that I enjoy just as training is.
