Well, Reagan did supply the Mujahideen in Afghanistan with Stingers and cash to prolong the Soviets occupation, and ultimatly bunkrupt them...So i suppose he did a little more than those pacifists!

For the most part, the soviets beat the soviets. I did always like how JFK gave them the deadline to get their fucking missiles out of Cuba, and they did. That was a huge blow to the Soviet's ego.

Exactly, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda know they can't defeat a super power militarily, so, their idea is to let the super power defeat themselves...precisely like this situation that is happening now.

I never said we did. I'm just saying that there is a lessen where living well is the ultimate revenge.
Not all of it, but something like 1 trillion dollars a year goes to the DoD not including the Iraq War. That's close to 50% of the budget which I believe is 2.4 trillion last I checked.
