Does anyone know a technique to do your calves without the machine where you raise yourself and lower yourself with the weights on your shoulders? The gym I started does not have this calve machine and I dont wanna get totally f*cking massive and have small calves..

Any help??

If thats all they have, thats all the have.

You can load up a barbell and do it with freeweight. Or grab a couple of DB's and calf raise.

If they have a leg press machine, you can work calves there.

I put the Barbell on my shoulders/back/delts just like a squat, in a squat rack. Then I stand up and lean back slightly until the bar is supported by my back and leaning against the frame of the rack. Then I do your standard calf raise on a 2x4 using the frame of squat rack to guide and support. Works awesome. Hard to describe. Can do in any rack.

Oh well aye!! Is that the thing where you lay down and push yourself away from the machine? I never thought of that Chief, I'll do that but instead of doing my quads ill use it to do me calves
