just got done today with my chest work out incline bench 4 sets 10x 135 8x 165 5x175 then flat bench 8x 175 6x 195 4x 215 failed on 225. then did flat bench butter flies. anyway my chest feels nothing (no pump no pain) my shoulders and tris are pumped and feel like they have been woked hard. this has been going on for 2-3 months. i have been showing improvement everyplace but my chest. any suggestions as to something that could help.

hows ur form? go down slow(elbows flared out out) take 3-4sec. at the bottom and expand the chest and squeeze the chest muscles together going all the way back up do reps really slow...shit i can do 180 for reps w/shit form and then when i'm doing perfect form i have to decrease it down to about 130-140lbs

Duece, you could also try switching from barbell bench to dumbell bench. You likely need to concentrate on form a little bit more, so by switching to dumbells, IMO you will be able to target your chest a lot easier and master the form, which will aid you with all other chest exercises. For your next chest day, check your ego at the door, and just lower the weight slightly while doing dumbell bench, and see if it helps you with your form.

remember this-any idiot can go in the gym and bench w/shit form but it takes a special one to bench w/great form :thumb: yes do db's they are great

Where are you placing your grip?

With your middle finger on the ring of the bar?

If so, try using a slightly closer grip with your hands just inside the rings.
