Cholesterol in eggs

I eat four eggs per day, which is light compared to many members on here. I'm wondering if I need to be concerned about my cholesterol levels. And, I don't have high cholesterol in my family.

Does exercise reduce cholesterol? Or, do your cholesterol levels depend only on how much of it you eat? I just can't see how eating four eggs per day (especially with three days of weight lifting and two of HIIT cardio) could possibly be bad for me.

There are good Cholesterols and there are bad cholesterols. The cholesterol you get from egg is actually healthy and needed for your body.

don't have any concern about the eggs. I have 6 eggs a day.

Out of curiosity, in the case of "bad" cholesterol, would cardio -- which strengthens your heart, thus pumping more blood through the arteries -- reduce the chance of cholesterol buildup? Or, does it not matter how the rest of your diet and/or lifestyle is?

Cardio generally helps with everything, but more comes from your diet. I'm not 100% on the topic of the effects of Cardio to your cholesterol levels. Hang tight someone will reply :)

Its HDL and LDL and the balance between good and evil is based on your diet and genetic predisposition. Of course exercise helps with everything.
 
Eating lots of fiber, omega 3s, healthy monounsaturated fats will all help with that balance.

In any case the dietary cholesterol in eggs has not been shown to have a significant impact on serum cholesterol (the kind you're worried about).
