would corn be acceptable as a complex carb, say insted of rice or potatoes??

Yes, same goes for legumes.

actually corn is a vegetable and a very shitty one at that. with the exception of vitamin K corn is useless. remember that dextrose is derived from corn, that should be a subtle hint about it's true nutritional value...

Whether it be a good or bad one it is still closer to a carb, or so I have been taught. I would place it in the legum family before I thought of placing it in the fiborous veggie family.

Yes I agree with you LAM that it is probably one of the worst choices you could make but if push comes to shove and you have no more options(which there are many to sub in place of rice/potatoes) then I'm sure you could replace em with corn. Or am I wrong here?

Actually corn is a grain and unless bulking I feel it should not be included in a cutting diet.

I can´t understand what people see in corn. Maybe when it is popular corn I can eat.

the only corn is generally accompanied w/ salsa...tortilla chips.
And it is pretty obvious that in this state, not really good for any type of fitness diet.
Doesn't stop me from lusting after it's crunchy, salty goodness... :lick: yummmm...
