Hey, so this year im starting my cutting cycle early because I have a little more to shed.....Im thinking to switch it up a bit and change my diet...Any of you pros may comment!! Please..

I wake up at 10:30am, shower and such and eat my first meal at 11am...

11am: protein shake with ground oatmeal, 1 tb PB 1 tb almond butter
500 calories, 40 carbs and 50 protein

2pm: chicken(or fish) wiht brown rice(or wheat bread) wiht green veggies
500 calrories, 40 carbs 40 protein

5pm: MRP - 280 cals - 20 carbs - 40 protein

8pm: lean steak, brown rice, green veggies

11pm: cottage cheese, green apple

02am Musclemilk bedtime ptotein...

that equals out to about 2400 Calories, 150 carbs and 240g protein...In addition I take amulti vitamin pack and extra B vitamins throut the day...I drink 2 gallons of watter and mix 4 green tea bags with it......I do 300 calories worth of cardio everyday....On lifting days (3 times a week) I would include a extra protein shake in ther somwhere...wiht 1 cheat meal a week....

I don;t feel like cutting more calories because I did it before and lost lot of muscle by starving mysef...at the same time I think that on a cutting cycle for a 6'feet tall male at 230 pounds and 18% bodyfat 2400 calls should be enought to cut 5 pounds a month right?

It will be if your maintenance (without the cardio) is around 2700 calories a day. Quite honestly, that seems low for a man your size. My husband's maintenance cals are around 2700, and he's a man in his forties whom you outweigh by fifty pounds.

What time of day do you train?

hey thanx for your help...I really apreciate the caring part :)

I lift at the same time all the time, i get to the gym at 1pm, then on lifting days, I got back to the fym and do 30 mins Cardio at 4pm

on non lifting days I make it to the cardio session at 1pm as well....

I also read so many different contradicting articles about MRP's and how long they can "hold you"....I take an MRP and then wait three hours to eat just like any other meal...is that MRP realy able to keep you three hours wihtout your body starving and possible coing catabolic...?

ALSO; if you dont mind so many q's

on lifting days, I wake up have a Whey protein shake, with ground oatmeal and PB/AB for fat, then at 1pm i go workout and have another whey protein shake...this always seem kind of wrong to me...would it be better to have a lowfat sandwich in the morning wrom wheat toast and lean turkey?? then after the workout a shake???

Okay, you're still too "juicy" to go catabolic. :)

I'm not a fan of protein shakes when cutting - I get too damned hungry with liquid food. If you're okay with it, you're fine.

You might want to plan out your cut so you do a harder cut with more activity initially, tapering off to slower losses with shorter, more intense bouts of lifting and interval work as you lean out. I wrote about this notion here, if you're interested.

Keep your protein and fat as high as possible, they'll keep you satiated, and keep the green veggies high for the same reason.

You may choose to eschew all but pre and post workout starches, for appetite control. That means ditch the 8PM brown rice if you run into late night hunger, and eat more protein and or fat at that time instead.

Any of this help?

Your pre and postworkout nutrition are fine.

yes, perfect thank you.....very good, i okay wiht protein shakes and liquid foods during a cut, i get really really really hungry in between liquid and solid meals as well but it doesn't bother me, i keep myself occupied and wait it out, like i said the only thing im worried about is to starv myself and not get enought form liquid to hold me for three hours...
But i didnt get your last sentence "You may choose to eschew all but pre and post workout starches, for appetite control. That means ditch the 8PM brown rice if you run into late night hunger, and eat more protein and or fat at that time instead. "

Starchy and sugary carbs make a lot of us "fatties" hungry, babe. ;)

If you get hungry from starchy carbs, use 'em around your workouts, but ditch 'em from all other meals.

If they don't have this effect on you, don't worry about it.

I'll give you a for-instance: I train at around 7 PM, right? So I eat protein, fat and veggies through the day, a little pre-workout fruit, post workout rice or sweet potato or something, and meat and buttered veggies, raw nuts, cottage cheese and perhaps a little fruit for the food I eat from that point until bedtime.

I don't eat any starches through the day, none for breakfast or lunch, to keep me from feeling hungry.

That help?

yes...clear as mud thank you!!!...

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
Clear as mud? LOL!

What part doesn't make sense, bud?

ahaha...no, no, it all makes sence..haha, just my way of expression...all, good..very motivating, I think this is going to be my leanest summer ever, I have yet to break my 11% BF record just scared to loose all my muscle that's it....Shouldn't be a problem for me anymore becasue I am finally on HRT, and will be at normal testosterone levels now.

LOL...excuse all my q's....but i recalculated my faily intake again and I end up eating roughly 200 carbs a day...not all that bad on a cut right??????
