Well yesterday while I was training back I wanted to check my 1RM on my deads, which I haven't done in a while. I guess I may have put on way to much weight but I performed it anyways. Last time I checked my 1RM was about 420 pounds which was 2 months ago, so I tried to go for 500. I performed it, however with shitty form, i think I may have arched my back a bit. Right after that rep I felt very light headed seeing stars & shit, so i put the weight down & decided to go home. While I got home my lower back was killing me & it was practically impossible to turn, slouch or even touch my touch my knees when standing. I went to sleep hoping it would subside, however i just woke up & my back is still killing me. I rolled out of bed in agony. & now I'm on the computer chair right now & I'm sitting as straight as possible, because if I were to slouch I would start to feel alot of pain.

What may have happened?

You fucked your back up using bad form and most likely need to go to the doctor. If it's more than soreness you might have done some serious damage.

I did the same thing a long time ago pulled every muscle from my heels to my traps I was on the floor for three days and have never been the same since. I don't do deads. I'm not a power lifter so I find them useless anyway. Go see a dr get some Tylenol 3 sleep it off try to stretch learn a lesson move on.

I hope its not a herniated disc, I have been thru that and is sucks.

X2. By the way, almost a 20% jump in your 1rm is a pretty huge leap. Attempting that big a jump is always a bit dangerous, imo.

This is why im not a fan of 1rm. Does nothing for hypertrophy and causes a ton of issues.

Hopefully its just muscular in nature and not lumbar related.

Never sacrifice form for weight executed. Hopefully, all you've done is just pulled some soft tissue in which case you should see improvement within a week. Get some rest in the mean time. If pain persists or gets worse after a week I'd see a doctor to get an x-ray or ultrasound. good luck

I'm hoping it's nothing serious! It's been 2 days since, yeah the pain is still there but it is getting better, just very slowly.

I dont do deads either. I dont do any 1RM lifts at all actually. lol
