Thats cool...to each his own. I can dead the same weight with or without a belt, but I prefer having one on to keep the stomach in tight on all lifts where intra-abdominal pressure is great. It's more for my abs and less for my back.

But anyway, if you have success doing what you do, keep up the good work!

Cool,too many people feel they need belts,when actually if they were to train without they'd find they didnt.:thumb:
 
I do full Deads, only Sumo style with an EZ Curl bar (the shape of the bar prevents me from banging up my shins!). Stiff legged deads just seem physiologically dangerous to the back........

They are if you do them incorrectly. Of course, so are regular deads, not to mention many other exercises.
