Not sure how it happened, but in certain workouts my left front shoulder hurts a little bit. Sometimes bad.

Workouts that I feel it are flat barbell bench, decline barbell bench especially. Preacher barbell curls too. I did close grip barbell bench today for my tris and the pain came again.

Also, if I bend my left arm at a 90 degree angle, palm facing the ground and place some slight pressure on the shoulder bone itself while I raise my arm, it hurts.

Obviously, I am doing some workout incorrectly and as I am learning how to become a trainer, I learned the rotator cuff is a stabilizer.

Well, in any case, should I work out the rotator cuff specifically from now on? Not sure if its too late.

Sorry so long. Wanted to be specific.

um............stop lifting weights and go see a sports Doctor immediately.

that doesn't sound good. that is a diagnostic stretch for a supraspinatus tear. go see a doctor.

UM....the rotator cuff rotates the shoulder. It can help to add stability but the main reason it gets hurt is because the scapular stabalizers aren't firing properly, causing one of the rotator cuff muscles to get impinged and eventually torn.

I toar mine from pitching at baseball. Now everytime about a week after i pitch when i do the full motion of my sholder around it hurts like a bitch. I'll need surgery to fix it but im not gonna bother getting it done until the end of the ball season, but it is a serious problem and should not be let go.

Wow, good responces. However, it scared the shit outta me.

Bear in mind the pain I feel isnt terrible. In fact, I am able to continue my workouts regardless of the pain. And I suppose I should call the pain just a mere discomfort.

Ive spoken to older guys who have worked out longer than I have, plus have jobs that require labor and they have stories on injuring their shoulders as well. They talk about extreme pain, surgery, not lifting for months, etc.

I doubt I am knocking on a surgeon's door, but I do feel like I am walking this path.

If you did cause and injury it wont hurt that much because the majority of pain receptors are on the skins surface. The mild disconfort maybe a serious injury.

if it was serious for you to ask here at the time of injury, you might want to see a doctor!!!

The best remedy is to catch it early. Go to a doctor.

I'm sure Akira's feeling better man, it was over 6 years ago...

Oh shit! haha! youre right. I didnt see that. who are these people bring up these old posts? this wasnt the only one Ive notice.

Sometimes I wonder why are bros so willing to ask medical questions in a forum but don't go to the doc, get off the keyboard and go see a doctor. Most of us over here are not qualified to give any medical advice and even if we were qualified, we couldn't without proper evaluation of your problem. My advice is (and do not take this the worng way) if it hurts, 1. stop lifting 2. get off the fucking keyboard and go see a doctor asap. Don't turn a small problem into a big one. Just my 2 ccs.
