In the dentist it is not pure NO if I am correct is a mix of 80% nitrous and 20% of O2.. That is why I think I tried nitrous years ago when I went to the dentist. I don´t remember any other anesthetic gas.

Your correct it is a mix. If it was pure NO it would fuck you up, and you would probably :barf:

How are you able to link fish oil intake with decreased depression? Are there other external factors or different supplements that you take? I'm just curious.

Great data on fish oil and depression Here is a good link to good epidimiolgical data and scientific journals.

From a chemical point of view ( as a prior chemist) it makes sense. valproic acid, the gold standard in mood stabilzer for treating manic depressive is very similar to omega 3 (valproic acid is a fatty acid) and both work on the arachadonic pathway in a similar fashion. Thus, andrew stoll's work with using fish oil in this population and its comparison with valproic acid was a brilliant way to grab the medical communities attention. Medical anthropologists will tell you that until the eskimos started eating a western diet, anthropological retrospective data show no signs of bipolar type illnesses in that culture( and possibly, even no depression. ) (By the way, they also had the highest rates of STDs so they were very happy
:D :D )

By the way, prozac is not addictive, it is a selective serotonin uptake inhibitor, no different from lexapro, celexa, zoloft, luvox, etc. and is not addictive. Some people experience what's called a serotonin discontinuation syndrome, when stopped quickly, (actually rare with prozac due to its very long half life of three weeks) and people confuse that with withdrawels.

It was very strange, though... i had read people feeling some mild mood benefits from fish oil, but i wasnt expecting anything as drastic as what happened. Don't get me wrong, ive still got pretty severe depression, but the fish oil alone cleared up some pretty hardcore symptoms.

I am really gonna try the fish oil, I can´t exactly go to the doctor to get proper medication if I need it, most of my peers and my parents think depression is just a thing that you need to get over it and any medication for it they will assume that I am going crazy. :spaz:

Monolith, what is "...pretty hardcore symptoms" for you ?

Monolith, you are right, I should have mentioned that many of the subjects in these studies not stop their other prescribed medicines, thus, fish oil was adjuvant and not necessarily replacement therapy.

Eh... it's probably best if i dont get into it. ;)

I just know that it works, even if the extent of my results seem extremely atypical.
