Just quoting what i can, now i've re-read it:

Too many carbs at one time + too much fat can = fat gain.

High insulin may very well push glucose into muscle cells, but also push fat into fat cells, so this is the exception that rule.

But yeah, i agree with carbs rarely converting to fat. Or at least, carbs don't convert to fat nearly as easily as a lot of people believe.

You suck, you knew about this last night!

DP

I dare not post it now, and actually my expose is lost, but the empirical "norm" for society nowadays is "Insulin resistance" and I had examples to demonstrate. I also stated that type of carb, amount, combined with what other macros...is critical!

Additionally, it has be recently disproven that sloth and laziness, have comtributed as much as previously thought to body composition!

I had a lot more to say about it, but it's not fair of me after killing Pete's work...still sorry!

Chicken Daddy, so are you going to add something constructive or are you just full of negative shit? You could atleast give this reasons YOU think is is wrong? Are are chicken, Daddy???

Blimey, Don't know whats going on with my spelling and grammer, must be me not eating what I should thoughout the day!:D

No problem DP, mistakes happen. Let me see if I can go over a few points I think I was trying to make w/ the rest of that post.

For JJ, why would u need 400g protein if eating no carbs. You can follow a keto diet with 200g protein, adaquete fats, and little to no carbs w/ periodic carb loads, and will be able to have plenty of energy as many have done. I think you are going under the assumption that 400g protein will replace 200g protein and 200g carbs. This is wrong as only certain amino acids in protein can be converted to glucose (mainly glutamine and alanine), others cannot, many will be broken down and excreted as urea while some may be used by muscle tissue. It really depends on several factors but know that it wont provide as much energy as 200g carbs.
Again, insulin itself wont make you fat. If you are eating below maintenence calories and eating high carbs, you will still lose fat. Calories must be above maintenance for one to get fatter.

About the carbs at once, studies show that for glycogen storage purposes carbs divided or in 1 meal made little difference, but for energy and insulin stabilization on a higher carb diet, it makes sense. But so does a huge amt. of carbs post-workout for recovery reasons, so actually carbs CAN be eaten in a large meal.

The idea that you can eat 200g protein in one meal vs. more evenly spaced meals and get the same results is downright wrong. This would leave your body w/out protein for most hours of the day, eating in at least semi-divided doses maintains a positive nitrogen balance to help ensure no or at least little protein will be leached from muscles.

Your right with that assumption Pete, I stand corrected...
