It makes me more sick when I workout with any type of non-self inflicted illness. When I'm hungover working out makes me feel about 99% better.

There's a brilliant comment. So if yo're sick at all you're just supposed to crawl under a rock until you're 100% better? Do you go to work if you have a cold? Talk to your family when you have the sniffles? Make contact with anyone in anyway when you're not entirely 100% healthy? Way to go shitcock, spreading your germs to everyone around you...

No, I don't. I don't get the sniffles. I am either sick or not sick. I had to wait 2 days until a stomach virus went away that my roomate gave me. I could have lifted on day day, but I stayed home, to rest and heal. Day 3 I was over it, and the rest did my body good, because I broke 2 personal records when I went back.

You are a fucking moron, because anyone here with any credibility will say to rest until you are a 100%. Working out while sick compromises your immune system, hampering it from doing its job which keeps you sick longer, and you won't have much left over for muscle repair. I don't give a shit what you say, you lost all credibility, so fuck off.

Also, you are a rude fuck for carrying your shit to the gym to give to us. Do you piss in the public bathroom too you sick fuck?

I do.

When I squat, I use my diahrea as sort of an afterburner.
I sneeze at the top of a crunch.
I vomit at the peak of a Barbell Row.

It works.
Lol :roflmao:

I will if it's just a light cold, or It's been 1-1.5 weeks and there are just some lingering symptoms.... If I feel bad I won't train because I'd feel worse.

Also, you are somewhat new, so disregard my bullshit. Some days my panties are in a ward for no reason. :D

I've been pretty sick for about 3 days now. Had to skip one workout last week and i'm skipping today's workout because i still feel blah. Thankfully i'm on a full body split as of late so i can be somewhat flexible with what days i go to the gym (3x/week just keep one day in between).

The problem with working out while sick is that when you are sick you have to assume that you are immuno-compromised. Had everything been honky dorry you wouldn't get sick in the first so there is already something out of whack with your body and it is trying its best (IOW allotting as much energy as possible to these mechanisms) to fight off whatever micro organisms might be floating around in your body causing your illness. The other end of it is that working out is a huge stress on your body. We might feel great (test pumping, jacked up on epinephrine and endorphins etc) afterwards but to your body it seemed like a life or death situation for about an hour straight. This is a situation in which your body puts all energy into recovery just like during an illness.

Put those two together and you can easily see that your body is capable of only so much before it needs to cut corners in certain places in order to be fully functioning in others.

Bottom line get well before hitting the gym, keeping in mind that there are varying degrees of severity. Hacking and coughing up a lung is no joke but some sniffles or just a slight lethargic feeling might warrant a low intensity easy workout if you are a freak that can't stay away from the gym.
