One guy in our gym does them every night. Work out near him and you hear him fart once every set. He has headphones in...we dont.

their were these shredded little bastards doing this at my gym the other day after their crunches they pull up their shirts and look at their abs like their jacked lol. they weight 150-170 lbs soaking wet and most of them cant bench 200lbs. I just dont get it

I don't, but if I did it'd be because I'm already dressed for exercise, already warmed up, already sweaty, and the gym mats are more comfortable than my floor. In other words, as long as you're exercising, why not do crunches? It's a convenience thing.

I tend not to want to workout separate times then when I am working out. all though it may be more appropriate for me as opposed to some guys doing it. we gals are always doing abs

one guy comes to my gym and does p90x, wtf do that at home. You don't have a tv?

P90X requires some eqpt. He might not have that at home, or like me, enough floor space to do much of anything like that.

You never know. Maybe he comes to the gym to watch your sexy ass. ;)

Its not a fart.

for example, when i get very lean, my lower back forms this arch...like a suction cup. when i do em on the hardwood, its like a super loud fart. 'specially when the sweat is dripping.

I do abs at the gym.. by that I mean I don't only do 'crunches' as most think of crunches... I do cable(rope) crunches, decline bench crunches(2 diff styles), crunches on bench with legs up on bar(raised leg crucnches?? I don't have names for all of the ab exercises I do, I just do em..lol), a couple that are hard to explain(and, I don't have names for them), and, last, but not least an exercise I do for serratus/upper oblique/tie ins ....using lat pull down machine with a single hand handle on it(again, hard to explain.. but is a nice finishing touch... especially when it comes time to get ready for comp)...I do these at the gym(not as often as I probably should..... but I use abs a lot working other muscle groups....every other day up til 5 weeks out of comp; ed 5 weeks out til comp) because I don't have all that equipment at home.... and I am not motivated to work out at home... I go to the gym, throw headphones in, and get in THE ZONE.... for all my training

kind of like if you use a lay down tanning bed... then go to move...suction cupped to the tanning bed... LOUD ASS FART SOUND!!!

IMO abs are made in the kitchen and cardio. I see guys doing crunches til they cant move and I cant help but laugh.

 Yup. I cant even move inside a tanning bed without it sounding like im ripping ass.

I like to do crunches on a bench by the DB's. It's best when all the other benches are taken and guys are waiting to use it for real exercises.

i train abs at the gym and what

this. I like to do them there cause I won't do them at home. Once I'm in the gym, I'm very motivated and have to get it all done.

almost all posts on this forum are people making fun of other peoples workouts.. why make fun of someone doing ab work?? just because you may not do them.. if i remember , arnold was working abs in pumping iron. training abs a few different ways.. i guess all the studs on this board making fun are all pros that dont work for a living. all pro coaches and bodybuilders..

^this... crunches are a waste of time though, you need weights to really make your abs pop, they are a muscle, just like everything else you train
