Do these have any real value or are they just gimmicky?

Are these when a guy dresses like a woman before doing preacher curls????

Drag Curls aren't a bad exercise at all, i have tried them and do use them. Vince Gironda Promoted this exercise decades ago. The theory is to do a barbell curl (Flat barbell, not the EZ curl bar) with a slightly wider grip, keeping the elbows tight to your side and BACK...curl the weight up keeping the bar in contact or just in front of the body all the way up to about upper chest height. your simulating dragging the bar up your body..hence the name.....eitherway....i feel it more in the upper bicep and it's a nice exercise to change things up if your bored with standerd barbell curls.

its good for people that have front delts that domminate too much this way you are sure that the bicep is the only thing working.

I really don't see the point of them. the bicep is such a simple muscle to stimulate

my sentiments exactly. I don't see the point of BB'ers creating all these variations of curls, as though they unlocked some secret exercise to hyooge arms. There's something wrong with your routine if you have more variations of curls than squats.

I'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks that way. I guess some people actually believe that just by changing the type of curl you are doing all of a sudden your arms will grown another inch..lol

Mine did and all I had to do was switch from beer in a can to drinking beer straight from the quart bottles. Gained an inch in each arm and 3 in the gut.:thumb:

Well you've obviously never tried upside down criss cross sandbag whirly curls then. Newb.

Thanks Loaded! I had no idea what drag curls were and was hoping someone would answer my question. More importantly, now I don't have to make a noob post asking what the hell they are.
