Ok im trying up up my meals from 4 to 6 a day.

Now, i dont have a lot of exotic foods or any fast snacks really.

What could you guys recommend me that would be a good snack or something that is easy and cheap to buy that would suffice?

Thanks, ps2cho

Cans of tuna?
Natural PB
Unsalted nuts
Fresh fruit and veggies.

Just a few off the top of my head.

I wanna get the calories up, i already eat fruit, but thats not a calorie intake.

What's your macro split look like now? You needing more protein, carbs, fats, or even portions of all 3? I mean there are tons of things to recommend, but without knowing what you're looking for exactly, it's tough to give a good recommendation.

oats. i've got four different types of oats in my kitchen now, and they all cost about a dollar per pound, or less

I think im currently underweight and i'd be happy with anything to help me gain weight.
I'm currently 5'11 and 130lbs...I wanna get up to 150. I havn't gained any weight for an entire year. I was 130 last year this time when i weighed myself.

Even if i gain fat, i wanna get up, im dedicated enough to burn it off and diet once im at a suitable weight. I think my weight is whats slowing down my progression. Im at 185 bench, 240 squat and 270 dead, and i think if i gain more weight, it should be easier to get to higher levels.

Well, first off, what's your diet like right now? If your wanting to put quality weight on, are you taking in the right portions of lean proteins, healthy fats, and carbs? Take a look in the diet/nutrition section for a good sticky about cutting and bulking, as it can really point you in the right direction. Also take a peek in some folks journals for some great ideas for other foods to add as meals. You can also use the recipe section for this. From what you're saying, this should help you answer what you're needing to do.

  • Nuts (lots of them) such as almonds, walnuts, peanuts
  • Dried fruits
  • Hard boiled eggs.
  • Cubes of low fat, high protein cheese (you can get stuff where 100g = 0g carbs, 35g protein and ~6g fat)
  • Make shakes with milk, banana, whey, oats and PB. Add honey too if you want.
  • Cans of fish (add some olive oil or avocado to increase the fat).
  • Pasta is REALLY energy dense and easy to make. Just top with a can of tuna.
  • Bowl of oats + some whey + some PB
  • Take a tub of cottage cheese and add in a whole heap of walnuts and some berries
  • Make yourself up some buffalo meat patties an cook up a whole heap to store in the firdge - then just grab one of these to snack on..
  • Make yourself up some meal bars with oats, PB, whey, eggs etc etc and then snack on these

Stuff like that. It is simple!

I am allergic to nuts unfortunatly...

Do Fried egg and hard boiled egg have any difference in nutrients?

And thats antoher question i had...

How many eggs a week are ok to have? My grandmother said that more than 8 a week is bad for u due to the high colestoral(i know this probably totally wrong, but she wont be convinced otherwise)...But is there a total # where its bad for you?

Thanks, ps2cho

Damn, allergies suck. I eat 12 egg/day, and I haven't died yet. (free military meals rule) Granted that's just egg whites, but still. I believe the cholestorol in eggs isn't necessarily bad for you. As far as fried vs. hard boiled; I think it may be a matter of what's used to fry it in. ie: butter, oil, olive oil Someone chime in if I'm mistaken on this one.
