big deal!

evolutionists dont believe that they know all the details, but they are trying to figure it out! and mistakes will be made. what kind of belief system has the ignorance to believe that their reality is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth? oh yea, thats right, every organized religion!

What I am saying is the evolution is not proven, it requires that you believe the proof is out there somewhere..that to me sounds alot like faith and that is a religion.

just sayin'

I agree, it is not proven.

You believe in somthing that can't proven. Something that requires faith. In my neck of the woods, we call that a religion.

I believe in something that is gaining substancial weight every passing year in every scientific paradigm. faith would be believing in a story book filled with a bunch of silly stories. I dont care what you do in your neck of the woods, your neck of the woods scares me! :)

Don't let clovis the cat become a "free cat" on the road. :)

What I don't understand about evolutionist, and maybe you guys can help me, is this...

How do you believe that in a universe where disorder rules..things left alone become less organized...how do you believe the chains of protein could just happen..to me it sounds like "if you put a monkey in a room for long enough he will type a Shakespeare." In reality, we know that will NEVER happen. Things do not order themselves like that..they just don't.

Help me..please.

I gotta finish some tax returns, I'll check in on you Evo-religious cats later tonight.

Actually Clovis has been missing for the last 2 months...
Thanks a lot :(

(he really is missing, probably dead by now :( )

Even Pope John Paul II was able to accept that Evolution is more than just an hypothesis.

I respect your belief system, and I believe that religions do alot of good for people who need a simplistic belief system. but every major scientific paradigm from geology to chemistry to biology to anthropology to psychology is adding more and more weight to evolution. yeah sure its not all right yet, but it makes alot more sense to me than god and heaven and hell and adam and eve and their pet snake. it really scares me that people believe that trite to the degree that they do!

Being as implausible as evolution is, it is still more plausible than an old man in sky creating things at whim. :thumb:

Although there is 70 sextillion stars in the visible universe. How many possible chemical reactions in the earths early history could have led to basic amino-building blocks. How many reactions would it take to win the lottery? Alot... well there was enough going on.

I thought it was a great way to make fun of evolution, not a rip at you but a compliment for owing these guys in this debate

Six Monkeys Writing Shakespeare

Students from the University of Plymouth managed to get a grant of £2000 from the Arts Council to test the hypothesis that an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite amount of time could reproduce the works of Shakespeare.
However, they seemed to lack the resources to attain an infinite supply of monkeys, and with a lack of patience to wait for an infinite amount of time, they instead had to make do with six monkeys for a month. Unfortunately the monkeys ???failed to come up with anything that remotely resembled a word???.

The ???scientific officer??? at the zoo, has somehow decided that this manages ???to show that the ???infinite monkey??? theory is flawed.???

I'm under the theory that God farted and created the Big Bang, but his wife said it stinks too bad and now he has to sleep on the couch every night so he's mad at the universe his fart created so he punishes us every now and again.

I got this one...

Everything we know as organized is so because we made up the rules or defined it in such a manner that it is ordered. 4 is twice as much as 2 because that is how we made the system. Who's to say that the object in front of your face is actually a computer and it's actual existence is how we perceive it? It is only a computer because that is how we define it. Who's to say that the light emitted from the computer is not a random set of lights. If I closed my eyes and dropped 200 BBs on the ground, the position in which they land can be considered random. If I decided I wanted to stare at it for 12 hours, I could see order in that system, and I would define it.

That was Albob, you fool.

Until we advance to a level where we can scientifically explain how man came to be will this debate be effective. We have to have the complete answer from both sides to complete a proper analysis, and this comparison won't be available in our grandchildren's lifetime.

/ridiculously repetitive debate

I'm going to kill you. :)

Many creationists try to prove creationism by disproving evolution but it doesnt work that way, you still need to prove your theory in a way that makes sense. Claiming there is missing links is not a good way to disprove evolution as well, there will always be a missing link between two things.

Stop saying that everything is intelligent as well, thus trying to prove intelligent design, a lot of things in this universe doesnt make sense and they are not good for anything. Actually only a few things work. min0, there is a joke about BigDyl somewhere, try to find it.

All things in the universe make sense...

Mankind is simply too ignorant to have an understanding of these things..

(And thats how religions have survived)

If it were not for creationists, I am convinced evolution would be MUCH more debated by scientists. Evolution is elevated b/c science MUST has an answer that does not involve the super-natural.

The evidence supporting evolution is pretty weak and I beleive more scientist would say so if they didn't run the risk of pandering to creationists.

I am not trying to proof or disprove anything. I am simply saying that you guys are believing in a theory that requires just as much faith as me believing in a God.

You can joke all you want, but your theory is just as laughable.

Vieope said:
What are the weak points of evolution?

Mainly, the fossil record.

The inability to explain how developing "features" like wings or eyes are an advantage that allows that interation to survice. Clearly vision and flight are advantages, but evolution does not teach that suddenly a bird had wings..the wing developed...how is 5% of a wing an advantage.

I just don't think it is a plausible theory. I understand why non-Christians question creation but I don't understand why they just accept evolution.

This is pretty much all you get with the evolution crowd. "You are an idiot for believing in God."

It's all a big joke. Creation is just laughable to them but they have little basis for their own belief system.

Evolution is a crock...

We all know that god created the universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th, period. ;)

I am done here.

What is even more irratating about crap like this is not one of my posts is trying to convince anyone that God exists or that the world was created in 6 days.

A slam is more effective if you know what the fuck is being discussed.
