It's the commentary that keeps bringing me back to IM.P-funk said:you are abducting your shoulder to press the weight overhead, are you not?
can you press more weight overhead or do a gay ass lateral raise?
I rest my case.

gopro said:-seated side laterals (and variations)
-shoulder width grip upright rows
GoLdeN M 07 said:damn i was thinking about doing that. I was wondering is it ok to to do it lying on an incline bench with ur front on the bench so the anterior delts would be worked less?
What the hell is one rep of an isolated lateral going to do for anyone?ForemanRules said:1-5 rep seated extremly isolated laterals

BB bench 4x5GoLdeN M 07 said:Alright because im looking for the best lateral deltoid exercise which barely works the front delts so i can do it with bench presses. Since the bench press is mainly for upperbody strength im gonna do them in low reps and im gonna do a lateral delt exercise in higher reps for muscle. Question is what lateral exercise.
ForemanRules said:BB bench 4x5
DB incline bench 4x10
Military press 4x6
Cable laterals 3x10
Dips 4x6
done.
CowPimp said:Overhead pressing for me too. I haven't done a lateral raise in ages and my delts are pretty decent.
gopro said:I was always a major shoulder presser..regularly doing 130s on dumbells and 275 for reps with a barbell, but my lateral delts always lagged.
It was only after I started to prioritize laterals and wg upright rows that I have developed that "melon" look on the sides...and that is a genetically weak area for me, so it took ALOT of intense work.
Pressing is still done, but not nearly as heavy or regularly, and my shoulders have lost zero size.
(But don't get me wrong, nothing is more fun than heavy pressing!)
