first ph cycle review

I have just started my first ph cycle and for this I will be running p-mag at 50mg for 30 days. I will also be running cel cycle assist and cel pct.
I have already started pre-loading the cycle assist and on Wednesday I start on the p-mag.
I am just cumming of a 20 week cut and my diet is currently 2100 to 2200 cals a day maintenance. I plan to increase to 2800 when I start the p-mag. I will be aiming for 200g pro, 100g fat and 275 carbs, broken down into 5 meals a day.
My current weight is 166lb at 14% body fat, height 5ft 8" and age 36.
After 20 weeks of dieting I feel a little flat and I think the ph will give me a real boost and I cant weight to start eating a little more. The diet I have designed is built around clean foods although I will allow a cheat day every week or two.

I was unsure as to my need for nolvadex. I don't know if I should get some just in case or if I would be fine with the pct. I was only thinking this as I will be on a low dose of p-mag. Any one got any ideas / sergestions.

I can post my diet if any one wants to offer a view or advise.

I will post every week with weight, measurements any my thoughts on the cycle. So here we go.:nail:
 
Clomid not Nolva, IMO it's a better option. Enjoy the cycle.
 
Took my first 25mg today and will be hitting the gym later this evening.
Will take some starting measurements and photos to show progress. Will also record weights and reps.

PUSH: bench press, Incline press, dumbell press, skull crushers, tricep pressdowns, military presses, etc...

PULL: any curls, lat pulls, pull downs, etc...

It's hard to grow when you work two small muscle groups in the same session (unless you have very little time) such as delts, biceps, triceps...

You are a little guy... Try doing ONE body part per session: 1st day, chest 2nd day, back, 3rd day, legs, 4th day shoulders 5th day, arms! Or something like that!!! You want ALL of the intensity that you can get out of your body when you are trying to get bigger!!! Your workouts will be shorter, but you can really focus on exactly what you are doing and it helps because your arms are not tired from doing shoulders before hand and so on and so forth!!! Do you get what I am saying?

It's awesome that you have the energy to do that much in one session, but I have trained many people and this seems to be the dominant way to acquire more mass as quickly as possible!!! If you are focusing on one muscle group, you don't burn out the smaller muscle groups in the process!!! Give my idea a try and tell me what you think!!!

ALSO, as far as PH's are concearned, PowerLab stuff is pretty awesome! A bit more expensive thansome, but AAS-like effects! I'm not selling the stuff, it just works, even for an old juicer!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I decided to use the push/pull/leg system as I can only train 3 to 4 days a week. I have used a 4 day split in the past but if I can only make 3 sessions in a particular week it means I dont hit each musle in that week. The 4 day spilt was as follows.
Day 1 Chest and Tri
Day 2 Back and Bi
Day 3 Legs
Day 4 Shoulders and Traps.

I could try a 5 day split but the situation would be worse. The problem is not my dedication its that my wife works shifts and some evenings I am left with 2 small children to look after. I could try to alternate between the push/pull/leg and 4 day split depending on the number of sessions I can make in a particular week. Its not ideal but I need to work with what Iv got. Would this be a good idea to do this or should I do a 5 day split and live with the fact that I only train each muscle group once every 10 days but I do train it with higher intencity ?

All this being said I trained legs today and again I trained to the point where I thought I was goan puke or pass out. Iv been home for 2 hours and I still feel a little shakey. I think I'm training harder because of the fact I'm taking the ph as they can't be taking effect yet. Hereis todays workout.

Stiff Leg Deadlifts 176lb 8/8/8.
Calf Press 264lb 12/12/12.
A short workout but I couldn't walk down the stairs to get to my car when I finished. I havent showered yet as I'm afraid I will fall over in the shower.

Thanks for you post and please keep them comming, I think my diet is fa:pissed:irly good but I need all the help I can get with training. Its just all to confusing.
 
I like it!!! Sounds like you actually "get it"! I'm thinking maybe get some dumbells and a knurled bar and do your arms an teh days that you have to watch the kiddo's!!! I work out exclusively at home, so I understand!!! Plus, the kids may see you do it and want to do it with you (if they are old enough) and you can teach the benefits to the younger generation!!! Lord knows the kids these days need a push in the right direction!!!

I managed to get to the gym this evening and trained chest and shoulders. Not quite as intense as legs or back but it did the trick. I haven't noticed any increase in strength from the ph yet but I'm sure it will come. I have put on 1lb since Wednesday but this is probably due to the increase in cals and water not the ph.

As you can see my lifts are very low but after 20 weeks of low carbs I'm not surprised. In the past I was bench pressing 200lb for several reps but I was 189lb at 24% body fat, not a good look !!
Since then I'v sorted my diet and lost 22lb and 10% body fat. I plan to keep the fat off and bulk up to about 180lb.

My eldest son is only 6 but he already likes to do "his exercises" which consist of running around the house for a short while followed by press ups and sit ups.

I take your point on people training incorrectly, I see it every single time I visit the gym. Loading the bar with 300lb and slightly bending your knees is not a squat. If I know the person training I will set them straight but if I don't I leave them to it. Training the ego seems to be more important so some people than training the muscle. I have in the past tried to show people how to train correctly but the next time you see them they are back to their old tricks.

Listen to me going on like an old timer. Time to eat !!!

Oh on that point I do have a post workout shake. 40g protein 20g malto 20 glucose 5g creatine and 5g l'glutamin. It helps but I still feel like an old man after I train.
 
21 days in now and making steady progress, nothing mind blowing but I'm happy so far.
Got some nolva today and have ordered some reversitrol v2 to go with the cel pdt.

I have been getting some mild headaches but I'm experiencing a lot of dizzyness most of the time. I will up my cycle support to 8 caps a day and increase my water intake. I have also read that creatine may be causing the dizzyness so I will keep of it until I start my pct.
I was going to up my p-mag to 75mg a day but I don't think I will bother until the dizzyness stops.

I will run the p-mag for the full 6 week and see what the final results are when I have completed my pct
 
Headaches and dizzyness are generally a sign of increased blood pressure!!! I'd suggest back off the mgs by 25, andif you have a regular Dr.? If so, go see him/her and they'll take your BP... If it's higher than 140/90, ask for some lisinopril@ 10mgs. per day!!! He will do that!!! That's what I take when cycling anything, no sides, and it works great! Not to mention it's only $4 at Wal-Mart pharmacy for a month's worth!!!

My wife is a nurse so she can take my blood pressure, I will make an appointment with the Doc or see what I can find on the net. UK Dr's are very difficult to deal with and can be very hard to get meds from, but I will try.

Just my look, the one thing that works also makes me feel like shit.

the cycle assist has hawthorne berry in it but it may not be enough try adding some more.

I have stopped taking the ph as the side effects were getting worse. I started getting cold sweats, dizzyness and a tingeling in my arms, shoulders and necy and some blured vision. I thought I was going to hospital at one point when my heart was pumping so hard I thought it would break out of my chest. No amount of muscle groth is worth the side effects I was and still am getting. I had to go to the Dr and he checked my blood preasure, pulse, blood sugars, eyes and ears and took a blood sample to send away for testing. I showed him what I had been taking and he was not impressed.
I took 20mg of nolvadex on friday but I'm not sure if that made things worse as the side effects go worse about 2 hours afterI took it.
For now I'm only taking the cycle assist and pct.
I know I will loose my gains if I dont take the serm but I just want to feel normal again. All in all my experiance with ph has not been a good one, oh well you live and learn.

I'v carried on with the cycle assist and post cycle support and things seem to be getting back to normal. The side effects have almost all gone and I feel great in the gym. I have put on some body fat but nothing over the top. Went to the gym this evening and trained chest, whilst I was in there a regular member said I was looking pumped so the ph must have done something its just a shame the sides were so bad.
If (and its a big IF) I do another cycle I will stick to 25mg a day. The gains may be less but so will the sides. I'm sure I could run 25mg for 6 weeks and gain the same as 50mg for three but with less stress on my body.
I will get the results of my blood tests on Tuesday so I will see how thing stand.
 
why did you show your dr what you were taking?

those sides really don't sounds anything similar to sides of P-MAG. back pumps, BP spikes, and lethargy are common but VERY tolerable. was your water intake sufficient? BP supports? strange that you had such a poor reaction to the PH

The way I was feeling on the day I went to see the dr was like nothing I have ever felt before. The light headedness and headaches were not too bad to start but the got worse as the week went on.
I only showed the dr the p-mag because I realy thought a trip to hospital was on the cards and I thought it best to let him know what I had been taking. The other side effects may have not been caused by the p-mag but the additional stree on my system may have caused some other undiagnosed medical problem to become far worse. It does seem odd thought that in the past week the symtoms have all stopped.
It could have also been the nolvadex that caused the more serious side effects as they came of almost as soon as I took my first tablet. I have read a thread were someone had a simular reaction to nolvadex.
My cycle support was 8 caps of CEL cycle support, 2 caps of milk thistle, 6 caps each of fish oils and flax seed oil and a multivit. I would have thought this would have been enough for 50mg a day of p-mag.
I will get my results from my blood tests tomorrow so we will see where I stand.
