I posted this on RX, but didn't receive many responses, so maybe I figured I'd try my luck here.

It's hard to explain but if I stretch my arm out to the side to reach something (on either arm) I tend to get a small cramp/spasm on the forearm muscle that is most closest to the inner bicep.
Any clues to why it does this?

Probably bi tendon the tendon runs past the bi Into the forearm if I remember correctly.. What lb's are you doing curls/ deads on avg?

Bicep curls?
DB: 40-45lbs per arm
BB-80-110lbs

Deads-225lbs

Maybe a pinched nerve cause you mentioned spasm's.. I would lay off arm day or going as hard for a week or 2 along with some self deep rubs and some pressure with your finger in there to release

Really hope you get it sorted out , I'm going thru a bi and shoulder injury myself and it sucks!

Ice

Do you get pain in your forearms when curling? May be tendonitis. Ibuprofen and lots of ice and rest.

A better description would be helpful, maybe even a pic pointing to the spot

Top of forearm area

Happened just now after I extended my arm to put something away...it seems to flare up more if I have anything in my hand while putting it away or bringing it to me.

Seems youve strained the brachioradials muscle or tendon one. Prob an overuse thing. When did it start?

Since your grip is good id say its a muscle rather than a tendon strain. You can just try the usu treatments for muscle pulls or find a doc to give you something but avoiding the movements that hurt for a time is still your best option.

sounds like tendon strain. but yout grip would feel week. got to be a minor muscle strain. I really should clear up in a week if you lay off it. make sure your girl(or guy whatever) knows that there is no LHJO. maybe you can get some special treatment out of the deal.

Lay off the LHJO for 2 months and you should be good to go. GICH.

Its what rightys do when they're alone and want to pretend they're gettin some strange.

Accupuncture :thumb:

I was just discussing acupuncture today. What was ur experience with it as my hubby might need it

Not only rehab, but injury prevention - especially in a heavy lifting phase.

My physio is an Accupuncturist as well - forearms, shoulders, occasionally lower back. Goddam miracle worker!
