Fruit While Cutting

I was just wondering if you guys have noticed better results when cutting fruit out of you diet during a cutting cycle. I keep hearing conflicting advice on this. Can someone please clear this up for me?

Ive never cut before, so this is a blind guess, but, Id say you prolly wanna cut fruit out, but, check out Carb Cycling, on Jodi's signature (props to twinpeak)

Apple, peaches, pears, berries and grapfruit are about the only fruits that I find acceptable while cutting.

Would it be better though just to eat complex carb?
 
No, I think some fruit is needed because fructose fills liver glycogen and complex carbs fill muscle glycogen.
 
I eat as much fruit as I want I just don't eat any past mid-afternoon. it basically comes down to your overall carb intake for the day.

Firstly, no, not all 'simple sugars' fill liver glycogen (eg: glucose).

Secondly, It is really not that simple with ANY simple carb. Generally speaking, you can't say 'this sugar will 100% do this in the body'. It doesn't work like that.

Sure, fruit has SOME fructose in it and this will initially go to the liver. But it
is then converted into glucose/glycogen. Now, once in these forms it can either be stored in the liver or, if blood sugar is low (eg: after intense exercise or when dieting and in an overall calorie deficiency) it will pass into the blood stream to replenish your total body glucose levels (hence it will not just 'fill liver stores' and can go to help replenish muscle glycogen).

The same occurs with galactose (a component of lactose which is the sugar in milk) to a certain extent.

But you have to remember that the body is not an 'all or nothing' event and you can not take it as such.

Actually glucose will fill liver gylcogen. So you don't actually need fruit for the above. I would however keep it in your nutritional program due to the vits/minerals that various fruits posess.
