July 25th surgery. Full tear rotator cuff. I feel like a 55 year old baby; never had surgery and a bit nervous. Hope my wife is there before the anesthesia hits so she can tell me a story. . .

you should have had the operation by now
how did it go ?
wish you speedy recovery

Thanks for asking. Four stitch repair to a complete supra-spinata tear. Doc said it was a large tear, but should be a successful repair. Done yesterday am, starting therapy tonight. PAINFUL as all hell. . .

Shit don't feel ashamed man, I would be nervous also. Tell wifey to hold your hand, but whatever you do don't cry.

Had the exact same surgery in 2005. Do what your doc and PT tell you to do and you'll be back to 100% sooner then you think.

Good luck with the rehab.

Therapy does get better with time. Had my rotator cuff done way back in 1986. I suspect the procedure has improved a bit since then! Good luck with your recovery, and I'm glad the surgery went well. I've been cut on a few times now, and the trepidation beforehand is always there for me. Surgery is surgery. My last trip was for two blown discs, and that scared the shit out of me. Hang in there.

Funny.

Now, will you come over and clean the coffee off my computer screen?

Five months out, and just did 3-sets of 40 pushups with no pain; on the way to hopefully a full recovery. Still trying to build-up the shoulder muscles, though; atrophy is an ugly thing.

At three months out, doc said I was where most were at five months (range of movement). I was a zealot about doing the PT, and lemme tell you, it was well worth it. Therapist told me some horror stories about ones who didn't do their PT.

How are you today? Are you as well as you hoped? My surgery went well. Wasn't too worried before. I was more worried about my finances from being off of work for six months. Look to finally return in Jan..ehh, I'm about 75%...

Round two. MRI just showed full tear in right shoulder. (@!$!!@!Cocksucker - SumBitch!@%$!) Surgery week from Monday.

All you young whipper-snappers out there, keep those shoulders strong while you can. Light weights to work the rotator cuffs (no need for ego here; light weights done properly). Wish someone woulda told me that 30 years ago.

Nothing immediate done to tear them save wear & tear over time; at least that's what the doc said. Now, if I hadda been smart when I was young . . .

Sorry to here bro I have had both shoulders done I couldn't tear them now if I tried. Good luck with your up coming surgery
