I was sick all last week. I'm almost better now and hitting back the gym. I'm having a hard time stabilizing the weights. After a week out the gym. Is this normal? I can't do 2 reps of 225 bench press and not even one. Maybe it's because I'm still recovering but could it because I didn't hit the gym for a week? Also my form is shit now. Even my low weights I'm not straight and stable doing them.

No, its not normal. 1 week off makes me stronger actually. It sounds like you may of lost some muscle because you didnt eat.

Sfw is probably right. A week off is good but when you are sick it isn't the same. Don't worry about it though. Sure next week your lifts will be back at normal.

Take it easy, you can't just jump back in at the same level after you were sick. Your body is still probably recovering.

It's just fatigue - and your inner ear may have been affected as well. Just take it easy, it'll come back with your stamina. Don't get hurt.

Yah, personal experience with this problem myself. You have to train yourself back up again. Its fatigue and trying at your normal level will only do damage (overtraining)
chillax for the next week by getting up the weight.
