I am a female college freshman, 5'7, 146 lbs. I work out 5-6 times a week and usually alternate between 30 minutes of cardio one day and 45 minutes- 1 hour of weight training the next. Sometimes I combine both in one day if I'm feeling especially energetic. I am trying to eat four meals a day because its really difficult to eat any more than that with my college meal plan. I usually have cereal in the morning, sauteed vegetables and some turkey for lunch, fruit for my third meal, and then a meat and some vegetables and possibly some pasta (once in a while). This was all working fine for about three weeks and I lost two pounds and felt good, but then all of the sudden I started to be extremely hungry all of the time, and I would feel dizzy anytime that I stood up. I started losing energy. I tried to "re-feed" one day, but I just gained weight and instead of it going away in the next couple of days like its supposed to, it just stayed so now I'm back where I started. I still feel crappy too. Please help me with any tips you have with maybe how I could have gone wrong and where to start again. I'm kind of bummed out now and its hard to restart the process.

eating healthy in college is tough, especially when you live on campus. I would make sure that you eat some form of protein with every meal. your first meal of the day should contain the greatest amount of carbs and taper down the carb intake as the day progresses.

i feel your pain, it is so hard to keep on a solid diet when u r living in a dorm. a blender has been a real blessing for me. just throw in a scoop of whey, skim milk, and some frozen fruit for a delicious but healthy snack.

I've just moved to Uni living in halls and I have to say my diet has never been better, you can actually buy the healthy foods that you want to eat rather than have to eat the crap my mom used to buy

3 things - george forman grill, large saucepan, microwave

GFG for all your meats/protein requirements, saucepan for veg and carbs (rice, broccoli etc), microwave for oats and re-heating left overs

its too easy to eat healthy here!
