Im a 17 year old guy. Im around 5ft 8 or 9, and only 125 pounds. I need a nutritional plan that will allow me to gain weight (muscle, and hopefully at least 10 pounds) as quickly as possible, while keeping off large amounts of fat. I run cross country, so i have a question. Will doing tough cardio while tring to gain weight cause a problem? Or would it just help me burn fat while building muscle? I can workout only up to 4 times a week becuase im very busy with school. The nutrition plan MUST be able to work around a school day, becuase school is a large obsticle in my situation. If anyone can write up a nutrition and or workout plan for me, id be extremely grateful.

I would suggest getting some new goals, cross country and mass don't mix.

Get a sport that goes with your goal, or get a new goal.

LOL... Nothing like being direct!! So... sure - I could write both....

But it will cost you!! ;)

Anyway.... To answer questions:
1/ yes - doing heavy cardio will impact on your gains... a lot.

2/ doing lots of cardio will not 'keep fat off but build muscle', especially if it is long haul/ endurance cardio

3/ more time in the gym doesn't necessarily mean better gains... some of the best gains can be seen with only 3 days in the gym.

4/ 125# and 5'8-5'9... Damn.... Anyway - at 17 you shouldn't get caught up about 'the exactness' of a detailed diet plan... You don't need it and you will do yourself more harm than good. You should just eat healthy and... eat a lot [x many].

thnx for the input, and i realize that i dont NEED a plan, but i rly think it would help me structure my eating, becuz otherwise i just eat when im hungary, which isnt rly enough, and leads to eating crappy food. x-country is in the offseason right now, so how much cardio is safe to do while trying to gain mass, so that i can keep in shape, and yet still see some good gains. say i do arms on mondays, legs on wednesdays, and chest/back/abs on saturdays, should i run on a seperate day, or just do light running before my workouts? sry that im so uninformed, but i am young ;) again, id rly like it if someone could just write up a basic 1 day layout of what/how to eat, so that i can gain some lbs. thanks.
