Say your on a pretty strict diet, like chicken and rice for about a two weeks now , and one night you splurge and have like all you can eat Italian w/ chicken parmigan, pasta, the works, even some chocolate cake for desert, but then the next day your back to your hardcore diet. How long will it take to see the effects of your "cheat meal" and when do you know when all the damage is done? Now I didnt do this.... one of my "friends" did this ;) ....

Are you dieting for a competition? If so that was not a good move..

I doubt you will see any negative results, unless the aformentioned post comes up.

If there is real damage (as opposed to water) it will usually make itself known in three to five days (in the form of weight that doesn't shift).

On the other hand, sometimes one is lucky, and one was in a slightly starved state, in which case this will act as a "refeed". Then you drop a whole bunch of fat at once, and losses get moving again generally. Then, of course, you become one of those advocates of the "junk refeed" who get dissed by the clean-fooders on boards such as this one. :evil2:

However, even if that does occur, I'd advise from my own experience that you not count on it happening every time. For it does not, and sometimes it does not at the worst possible moment.

well yes this is for a competetion, but I'm 18 years old and as of the mornning after the "cheat meal" my bodyfat % was 7.4% so I was wondering if the wrath of that meal is still to come, but my metabolism is naturaly high and I am eating 6 meals a day on a 2000 cal diet soo... what do you think? could it ruin me?

If you're on track generally, probably not. I'd say nothing much you can do about it now that might not cause worse. Call it a "test peak" and put it behind you.

errr, okay ill try oh and do you think HIIT cardio every morning is too much? my competetion is on July 10th, and I was thinking about doing HIIT cardio every morning for about 6-7 minutes until then just to shed off those last percentages, is this a good idea?

Nick, couldnt hold yourself together could ya.....

If you got this far without cardio, 7.4%bf, I wouldnt go crazy with the cardio. At most every other day. Especially now that you cleaned up your diet even more.

btw, I didnt go to Destin. You diet cheating bastard ;)

Joe! You weren't supposed to see this! heheh  but from here on out NO MORE CHEATING! I am STRICTER than ever! That's a promise oh btw 7.4% yay

how far out from the show are you ?

Hes 2 weeks out, and about to start his pre contest diet. Sodium loading coming up...

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
Does he have pictures?

I still dont understand why he would risk cheating so close to comp time..

There's nothing you can do about it now. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just continue to diet hardcore and maybe even up your cardio if you're that close to contest time. Good luck.

Don't up your cardio this close to contest time.......keep it were it is and just tighten up your diet more!!

I'm certainly not doubting your advice. I have no experience with prepping for contests besides what I read on these forums. However, I am curious as to why more cardio is not good right before the contest?

pictures, well thats me my avatar, it was taken about a week ago, ive gotten in better shape since then.

Can cause inflamation in the quads and destroy cuts. At least for me. When I do to much cardio my legs smooth right out and don't look full at all. Just try and control your diet more.
