Have you tried a weight gainer?? Either bought or homemade?? If you want a homemade one add Ice Cream to shakes ~drools~

Also from now on Peanut Butter is you best friend OK, have a LARGE tablespoon with EVERY meal :D I'm also fond of Pizza which does admitidley add fat but tastes good and if you make it yourself with lots of MEAT that insulin spike is worth EVERY bite :D

Another option would be to have half a shake with every meal, piles on the calories and we've ALWAYS got room to drink, right??

Lean beef, whole eggs, nuts and peanut butter, olive oil.

Weight gain supplements are OK but sometimes they contain a ton of sugar. Real food is always your best bet. Chicken and Tuna are good sources of protein but you may need added fat.

Just when you think you've eaten enough.....EAT SOME MORE!!!!!!!!

Mick

Yes, I'd have to agree w/ everyone here.....add more fat to your diet! It's the most calorically (is that a word? ) dense food. Peanut butter, almonds or other nuts, egg yolks, and oils such as flax seed, olive & safflower should be used in every meal. I agree w/ the gainer's having too much sugar, much better to make your own :D

The foods that I gained most of my weight on were...

-steak
-burgers
-eggs
-milk!!!!
-pasta
-potatoes
-weight gain shakes
-bananas

When I weighed just 125 lbs at the start of my "career" I would get up in the middle of the night for a weight gain shake. This really helped!

thanks guys ill try it.right now im 6'3" 205 lbs. and look like a rail with ears.

Pluuuuuuueeeeeeeeezzzzzzz! 3000 cals eating beef, whole eggs, peanut butter, and some added oils is nothing! That should be easy for a man your size.

You have to train yourself to eat.

Currently Im getting 2700 out of chicken, tuna, sweet potatoes, brown rice, veggies and a few other things and I'm always hungry!

i eat constantly it seems like even when im not hungry and still i cant get enough.sometimes i feel like puking but still force it down.maybe if i started eating iron instead of pumping it hey?

Sounds like a metabolism reset might be in order here!

Remeber have a weight gainer after your workout or beofre bed that will pile on the pounds!!

RIGHT now thsi you must do Organic Peanut Butter is now your BEST friend, m'kay?? You take it EVERYWHERE with you, above your wallet, phone, car keys, house keys, wife, dog (you get the picture). Take a large Tbs with EVERY MEAL, this will give you a fair few extra calories a day like 100's :D

Not really...I was so damn thin and my metabolism was so fast I needed all the weight I could get. I think I ate this way up to about 200 lbs, and then started competing. So, I switched to a more sensible diet at that time.

I'm struggling to put on bulk, too. My weight started at 150lbs, and lost 10lbs in the first weeks of training. I have since got up to 147lbs, but have been watching my fat intake.

From your suggestions I think I should not try to limit my fat intake? My waist is now 30'' and I would like to keep it that way. I dont take a meal at night as I take GABA to help my sleep.

Yes, fat is your friend when bulking :D....or even cutting for that matter, lol.

Why don't you post your stats/diet? :)

You could always follow the Homer Simpson diet plan by Dr. Nick Riveria...

"Instead of sandwiches with bread, use Pop Tarts...instead of chewing gum, chew bacon...you can brush your teeth with milkshakes!"

"Rub your food on a piece of paper...if it turns clear, it's your window to weight gain!"

"Did you go to Hollywood upstairs medical school too?"

Just kidding of course, I saw that episode last night. ;)

Limiting fat intake will lower your natural testosterone levels. Diets containing about 20% fat will keep your hormones revved. Just control your carb intake, and get at least 10% of your fats from EFAs.

Eat a lot of carbs and include some healthy fats in your diet.

w8, here are my stats 6'3" 205 lbs,not sure about the bf% but im thinking the low teens.i dont really have a diet plan but i try to eat clean as much as possible.i try to eat every couple of hours including protein shakes consisting of nonfat yogurt, natural peanut butter, milk and optimum nutrition protein.as far as counting calories im not too into it for lack of time.

Okay, for both of you...cult_status & jonny69

You have to start thinking in terms of adding calories that you'll never notice, since you both think you're eating all the time and getting enough. I doubt you are or you would be gaining. When you make your shakes, would you notice an extra tbsp of oil? Not likely, may affect the taste slightly, but your gut will not know the difference in terms of being able to eat an extra 115 kcals. Same w/ eggs...you can make an egg white omelete w/ low kcals or you can add 3 yolks and up your kcals....will you be able to tell the difference in terms of volume of food? Not likely. When making tuna, use full fat mayo, two tbsp instead of one. choose beef over chicken, it has more calories per oz than chicken. Ya'll gotta think about the little things that add calories.

If you truly are eating properly and still not gaining, then protein shakes & oil (as was already said) are your best friends! Add an extra shake or tbsp oil a day until you start gaining.

I'd still be interested in seeing a meal by meal example of your diet...I don't think you're eating enough of the right foods.

At that size, I will guarantee that your caloric requirement is much higher than 3000 kcals for a bulking period.
