How many times a week do you weight train, this does not include cardio only days.

Usually 4, although sometimes only 3. Once in a while I feel really ambitious (some may say stupid) and go 5.

2-3.... but I do a ton of other activities.

3-4 but mostly 3.

What are some opinions on the benefits or otherwise of more frequent training? Obviously managing other variables to compensate if necessary.

i am of the opinion that you should train as often as possible, obviously, you can't destroy yourself with 35 sets each workout, but i really do believe in short, frequent workouts. you are trying to make yourself stronger, it just makes sense to me that you would want to push that muscle as often as possible to achieve this goal, but like i said, you can only do this with short workouts. now, all this said, I don't advocate doing the same exercises or muscle groups 2 days in a row, or even every other day, but in my experience, 2-3 days between working muscles is a good number to shoot for, ie, do a bench press on monday, do it again on thursday or friday.

4-5 a week... i split my body parts up though a lot... i only stay for about an hour or so each time and that's only if there's people there lol

i go when i get out of work... i just changed my schedule back to working 330pm to midnight so now i'm going to be getting out at midnight and going strait to the gym every night after :D

2 to 3 for the last few months, mostly 2

I feel like I'm letting myself down. I'm just maintaining strength at best. : (

This December I've ramped it up to every other day. I results of that inspire me.

First of the year... watch out. ;)

3 days a week.

4..

1 - lower pull/calves

2 - upper horizontal push/vertical pull

3 - lower push/calves

4 - upper horizontal pull/vertical push

I've had to skip about 7-8 workouts in the last 3 weeks because of my new job...getting used to the schedule. Plus, I've been doing the push/pull and no isolation movements thing for about a month and a half now and it's taking some time to adapt to. I use to train 3 days a week, with about half of them isolation :P. My body is having to do some much more work now. Still, I'm pretty consistent. And, if I'm not feeling it (like today) I'll just cut my losses and walk out. That's the luxury of consistent, hard, knowledgeable training....you have a lot more leeway with unexpected rest.

5 days (when not injured)
Separate day for each body part. Works best for me and my agenda.

A lot of the stuff i've read in MILO seems to lean towards this aswell, a typical strongman training week looks pretty packed up when you have strength, accessory, and event specific training going on.
