What are some opinions on the benefits or otherwise of more frequent training? Obviously managing other variables to compensate if necessary.
i am of the opinion that you should train as often as possible, obviously, you can't destroy yourself with 35 sets each workout, but i really do believe in short, frequent workouts. you are trying to make yourself stronger, it just makes sense to me that you would want to push that muscle as often as possible to achieve this goal, but like i said, you can only do this with short workouts. now, all this said, I don't advocate doing the same exercises or muscle groups 2 days in a row, or even every other day, but in my experience, 2-3 days between working muscles is a good number to shoot for, ie, do a bench press on monday, do it again on thursday or friday.
