self explanatory, this is an average for training days and non-training days. I personaly take in about 1.5 grams per day.

this belongs in the diet section bro.

I eat roughly 1.3g/lb for maintenance

it does, but not nearly as many visit the diet as they do the training. :D

quit stealing my threads :pissed:

Read the other thread ....... :hmmm:
about half the posts cover that topic, plus the thread is about how much per pound .

Copycat.

2+ here

1-1.5 grams per lb of LBM

Right now about 1.67g/lb, trying to keep it there.

As a rule, I recommend 1-1.5g of protein per pound of LBM. However, like I said in the other thread, I eat an isocaloric diet, which is an equal distribution of calories among the 3 energy sources. So, with my low-end maintenance intake of 3300 calories, I eat about 275g of protein a day. This comes out to about 1.65g per pound of LBM, and it is quite a bit more when I'm bulking.

i am telling you all to eat 10g of protein per gram of bodyweight!

It appears to be ok right where it is. If one of our super moderators replied to the post and didn't move it then you have nothing to worry about

I'm on over kill right now. 529 grams a day or 2.35 grams per lb. For the next year I will take in over 500 grams a day or more while bulking.

about .5-.75g per pound of BW.

This is often a good idea when cutting weight. For some reason, excess protein intake has been shown to improve the retention of LBM.

Check out this article about protein consumption. It is a debate between two PhDs on the subject of protein consumption for athletes:

When I cut, I still keep it as close to 400 as I can. This is the way i did it in the 70's but propably was up more like 600-700 grams a day. Never really counted back then, but I know i took in 4 lbs of red meat a day along with 36 whole eggs. I tried to be up around 8-10k in calories. When you go from 194 lbs to 340 lbs you must have ate a lot. took me 7 yrs but I got there

Holy crap. That is some serious eating. I bow to you sir. I'm a big eater, but I don't think I could regularly pack down 8-10K calories. That is pro bodybuilder territory!

Know what you mean.I'm taking in about 4500 right now. But I'm 25 years older. I have no idea how I ate that much. Funny thing is I never felt bloated back then. Fuck now I'm bloated all day long on.

what are you eatting that has so much calories? and what else do you eat to get all those calories.

When my diet's on track, about 1.5-1.6... Right now it's not even close to that, but that'll change shortly.

The most I've been able to eat while bulking was 4000-4500 cals a day.

I think one of my journals has a diet when I was eating about 4500 calories per day. Possibly my Westside journal? I dunno, I forget now. You can take a look if you want some ideas though.
