i know logically, nutrition is vital to growth. our muscles need water , protien to survive.........how much, well.........all i can say is try to do the best ya can.

Sandwich: you do have some pretty nice genetics.....umm....I agree that he should go slow and take one step at a time, but his nutrition is all messed up with too little carbs. I think he should eat more and train lightly and he should make some great changes. Do you agree? Glutamine is not really nessesary because he wont be lifting really hard and he wont be dieting hard so he wont lose muscle as he leans down. BTW, where are those pics you posted?

NickB: i wrote some simple guidlines in your other thread on nutrition. they may not make much sense though cause i am kinda sleepy. if you have any questions, let me know.

Yo kid you need to up for carbs add a cup of oat meal at breakfast and brown rice at lunch also add some salads to it. By the way your diet looks it seems like your body is burning portein as fuel. Protein is not as good as carbs from an energy stand point. If you only consume 120 grams a protein a day you better have lots of carbs to spare that 10 grams from being used. Also looks like you dont get alot of fiber in your diet ether. I not telling you to go buy fibercon or anything like that just boast it from whole wheat breads and such.

Hey Nick B just try to figure out what works for you. Take from here some of the opinions given and then test them out for yourself and see which one yields the best results. There really is no correct answer, but Protein I believe has proven to be the best staple supplement to every weight training program. As far as you being too young, it is possible but a strength coach told me that by age 17 virtually all teens are ready to lift, and since you are 16 I would think you are close enough in age. Good Luck.
