Fat loss

Ok, I am 5'8 and I weigh 270 lbs...yes...I know I'm obese...that's why i want the help...I have been lifting weights, doing cardio, and eating right for about a month now...My muscles grow pretty quickly (they're mostly fast twitch) but I'm worried that they will stop...not only that, but I want to know how long should it take to drop about 100 lbs., and exactly what actions I should be taking to do so...like what other major differences should I make in my eating habits etc. I drink only water, except for some juices every now and then, I am pretty good at eyeballing my calories and I don't eat fast food...but what else should I be doing...

Also, I have devised a weightlifting routine in which I work out 5 days a week, and work a different muscle group each day
Monday-Arms
Tuesday-Back
Wed.-Shoulders
Thurs.-Chest
Fri.-Arms
Is that ok? or should I do other things?I do cardio 3 times a week, normally jumping rope or running, and I work my abs mon., wed., and fri...can anybody tell me any nutrition facts, or any routines that I should know to shed this poundage...
Thank You...

you need to start not just watching calories but carbs, fats, and sugars also be sure to get plenty of protein. I never lost 100 pounds but i lost 40 lbs by doing this. You should try a good 40 carbs 40 protein 20 fat % ratios on your diet try downloading a program called crosstrainer just search for it on google or whatever you can get the evaluation and email me if you have any questions this program should help you keep your diet on track and your exercises.

Please post your current diet in a meal by meal format including the quantities, macros and totals for the day. :)

Where in that split are you working your legs? It also might not be a good idea to do back training the day after arm training because your biceps are very important to your back training. Here's the split I use, it works good for me.
Mon: Chest
Tuesday: Legs
Wendnesday: Back
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Arms
Also, The maximum amount of times per week you should work abs is probably twice, not three times.

My fault...I meant to say that I train my legs on Fri...but I agree with what RC is saying...i'll have to progressively change my routine...
