Jesus certainly preached peace.

Muhammad was a warlord and political leader. He personally beheaded hundreds of people. He is considered the "perfect" example of a muslim, just as Jesus is the perfect example for Christians.

Just one of the fundamental differences. Sick people are the root problem, but there is no question in this day and age, that Muslims are far more willing to kill in the name of their religion than any other group. It's worldwide, not just the Middle East: Malaysia/Thailand, Philippines, Sudan, Pakistan, Somalia, etc. The Koran is their inspiration.

They would convince local tribes to leave their land once oil was discovered...one reported case, SIL had heavily laced the tribes food with lax and told the tribes people they had to leave due to disease. Throughout Huaorani territory, SIL airdropped false-bottomed food baskets containing tiny radio transmitters; the rumor was that receivers at were activated by US military personnel to track various travels of the tribes people... -John Perkins.

There is a darker side of Christianity involved in nasty violence and murder in modern times, however, typically its masked in business and development.

I'm not saying MODERN day Christianity is "more" evil or more wrong than modern day Islam but they both have an element of guilt...Its all about which side you are on I presume. Relative perspective maybe.

I admit Islam is a bit more "in your face" in their approach. They need better PR people.

Fair enough. Some people are still doing horrible things in the name of Christianity. Though it still pales in comparison to what the Muslims are doing.

Which is my point. It wasn't that Christians are perfect, it's that Muslims are much more horrific. Actually, in terms of religion, they are the works. Plus, they have a shitty culture on par with Sub-Saharan Africa.

The gap gets even bigger when you stop to consider how much good is done in the name of Christianity and how much "good" is done in the name of Islam.

While I don't necessarily disagree with your other examples I can speak directly to this one.

The Serbs "Ethnic Cleansing" had very little to do with thier Orthodox Christianity. It was mostly focused on straight-up criminal murder of thousands of Croats and Muslims for the sake of "reclaiming" the territory that was murdously taken from them during the Nazi reign during WW2. The Croats had a Ghestapo that is rumored to have been volumes worse than the Germans. The political leaders exploited Christianity as a "Holy Cause" to add momentum to their draconian efforts.

We unearthed a couple of the mass graves during my tour in Bosnia back in 1997. The graves contained the remains of (mostly) women and children (you could tell by the shoes).

That's the problem, it wasn't a one-time thing. There are numerous stories that leak out all of the time. Just imagine how many don't make it out.


There was a woman (a teen, I think) that was raped by a prominent member of the city. So the woman went to the leaders and reported it. But because she was saying something negative about such an "upstanding" member of society, they decided that she needed to be punished. So they ran a train on the woman that came to report a rape.

That is indicative of the Muslim/Arab people.
