Fair enough. Some people are still doing horrible things in the name of Christianity. Though it still pales in comparison to what the Muslims are doing.

Which is my point. It wasn't that Christians are perfect, it's that Muslims are much more horrific. Actually, in terms of religion, they are the works. Plus, they have a shitty culture on par with Sub-Saharan Africa.

The gap gets even bigger when you stop to consider how much good is done in the name of Christianity and how much "good" is done in the name of Islam.

If you are talking in terms of current events only, I would agree....whole heartedly; however, in a historical context I would disagree. If you added up all the deaths, wrongful acts, and pain and suffering caused....The Vatican wins hands down IMO.
Good think I'm Greek Orthodox

Its only natural for us (Americans) to think in terms of the present, b/c thats our culture. We live in the now which is perfectly exemplified by our quarterly fiscal benchmarks. Most of Asia does not view things in this present day context though...Business is over there is typically in it for the long haul and don't mind sacrificing a few (even several sometimes) years of profit for market share and brand equity down the road...Also, the people there tend not to "forget" things, where as we forget things the next day. I don't mean to sound insensitive to anyone, but from my experience...It feels like a large chunk of the nation has already put 9/11 out of side and out of mind.

I'm not talking about the last 10 years, I'm talking about the last 100 years. Most the atrocities that people cite regarding Christians happened over 500 years ago.

And the "now" really does matter. This is the 21st century and those monkeys are still doing shit that was all the rage back in the 16th century.

You know, I'm almost tired of cover this. But...I'll quote:

In Africa, you'll find :

1) The country with the highest birth rate on the planet.
2) The country with the lowest live expectancy (33 years).
3) The country with the highest HIV infection rate (28%).
4) The murder capital of the world (Johannesburg).
4) The rape capital of the world (Johannesburg).
5) Fighting that claims the total amount number of live lost in WW2 every 5 years (the Congo).

Right now in Johannesburg, there is also a pandemic of rape of children ages 3 to 9.

Terrible. Not only should this not be how they deal with adulterers, but the way they carry out the punishment and then some goon having the nerve to videotape it (depending on his motive) is pretty weird. You'd think such a "peaceful" religion wouldn't deal with their offenders through a spectacle like this. Seems like they have all their priorities twisted.
