What's so hard to believe?
You don't think it's possible for someone to come up with a bette rpoem that Charles Baudelaire?
Is it not possible for someone to make a better play than Shakespeare?
Is it not possible for someone to design more inventions than Edison?
Get my point?
Probably not, do your usual flames.

You compare the Gods of poetry to bodybuilders writing crap about the gym.....................you have shown you have 0 knowledge of literature and that you are a complete idiot.

The most pathetic evidence of your lack of intellect

Wait, are you saying that a bodybuilder cannot write a good poem? Stereotypes really need to die.

I'm saying this one didn't.....
And yes I'm saying no bodybuilder posting on I.M. will be a better writer than Shakespeare...... :thumb: If you disagree with this then you are less educated than I thought.

I still don't get why everyone jumped on that fact that he said the poem sucked? It is his opinion. He is entitled to it. If you like the poem then great. if not, then great. In all honesty, I thought the poem was dumb as shit.

Interestingly, the people in Shakespeare's time didn't think he wrote his plays - they thought he was too dumb.

Not to mention that Einstein's teachers told his parents he was nothing special and that he shouldn't even continue with elementary school (he got Cs and Ds).

How would you know that the next Shakespeare isn't browsing these forums every day?

Really stupid post......Einsteins teachers when he was very young didn't think he was stupid! He was too smart for the school system ( or the schools of the day) he was in......many more people in time thought he was a genius.

Shakespeare was thought by a very tiny minority to be the collected writings of several writers....and that theory was not during his day! it came much later.

To be one if not the the greatest Writer of all time is extremely rare and certainly isn't going on here.........

No, really, Einstein's teachers told his parents that he was nothing special. I've read enough books on relativity to know some of what his life was like. If they thought he was such a genius, explain to me why he worked in a patent office when writing some of his best papers.

It wasn't a tiny minority that thought Shakespeare did that, actually.

Again, how can you say that? You have no idea who you're talking to when you're posting. Not all geniuses are recognized, nonetheless recognized in their time.

1. Yes everybody has heard that story.....so what

2. Yes it was and still is......conspiracy theorists are such losers.

So you think the writer of this poem is a unrecognized prodigy who will someday be the next Shakespeare???

Just because everyone's heard it doesn't make it untrue...

It wasn't a conspiracy. It's called an opinion.

I never even mentioned the writer of the poem in question. I'm simply saying that you could be posting on the same forum as the smartest person alive without knowing it, and there are many ways in which people can be smart. Not every intelligent person applies him/herself, so you really have no idea. Saying that you know no one on here is like that is just being ignorant.

1. I didnt say it was untrue.

2. Whaterer you want to call it......the fact is that it is not excepted by the literary community.

3. And you might hit the lotto for $50,000,000 next week.

Actually you did: You said that his teachers didn't think he was stupid, making my statement untrue.

It may not be accepted by the literary community, but it doesn't mean that it's a conspiracy or that it's the vast minority that believes it.

I might, but I wouldn't buy a ticket. I'm just saying that it's possible, whereas you were saying it's not. While the statistics may not be stacked in my favor, they still exist.

Yes, that was my nice way of saying they thought he was stupid. I thought you'd picked up on that earlier.

I never said it wasn't BS; I brought it up as a comment that I thought was pertinent and interesting. If you disagree, too bad; there's no need to complain.

Which is exactly why I wouldn't buy one. Once again, you bring my age into this every time. This is interesting... I still don't know why you do it. It's not like it somehow makes everyone think I'm stupid or makes you look better. Why do you do it?

1 Ok I see.....I didn't pick up on that

2 It wasn't

That's okay if you can't explain yourself. Just try posting something you can back up next time.

Funny picture, by the way.
