who knows what they are?

who does em?

do you like them?

do you think they're a good traditional cardio-type replacement?

I'll go first...

I didn't know what they were until a few days ago; I'm highly intrigued

I'm intending on doing them but am only looking at generic plans I'm finding online to get started.

I imagine I'll hate the shit out of them but in a good kind of way if you get what I mean.

I'm hoping they can replace at least some of traditional cardio

its almost like super setting from what I gather...

its anywhere from 6-10 weightlifting movements...done with a BB or DB done for a range of 6-10 reps ...
the BB or dumbell never touches the ground and you basically are doing it for an element of speed. no rest between the moves. no more than 90 seconds rest between the actual sets. One full set is the 6-10 moves without a break.

you try to increase the number of sets within a given timeframe

I think the most similar things I can think of are super setting and different types of speed drills

like, one generic one I downloaded to try is
deads for 5 reps
cleans high pull for 5 reps
hang power clean 5 reps
mil press 5 reps
good morning 5 reps

BUT 5 rounds is one set

the bar never touches the ground

you're supposed to see how many sets you can do in 7 minutes
then how many you can do in 10 minutes
then 12

I can see puking doing this

The 5 system. Fascia stretch method of keeping the weight and movement constant. I would guess over training would be easy without proper food intake and rest.

That's a lot on the body..

but I'm old so.......:coffee:

yeah, I'm guessing its a lot and kind of reminds me of some of beachbody's products ...(dont hate I look at everything to see if it has merit)

Im not exactly young but I think I can power through that for 7 minutes with a bare bar and not barf...maybe.

apparently even really strong men starting it with the bare bar is pretty common
idk, Im gonna give this a shot. I got unexpectedly nailed with work this afternoon but I may give this a go in the gym tonight
makes me wish I still had gym stuff at home to give this a go. Id rather pass out on the floor and wake up in my own vomit at home.

that looks like fun, I'm going to give them a try next week.
