So, I just finished my first semester at College and now that i'm in the routine, I can balance my time and go hit the gym again. I'm trying to get the body that i had in high school back only bigger and more defined, but there is nothing worse than starting over. AAAHHHH!!! :pissed:It sucks. The only thing is that during my high school football career, there was no such thing as going easy or doing anything half-assed. There was no "quit" with me. Once my senior season was over, I did my own workout and not many people could keep up. I loved it. The head football coach added some of the things that I did to the new workout for the football team. It was great. But once I graduated, a LOT happened over the summer and I didn't have access to a weight room or gym and let's face it, no one works out at home. Now I have access to the most amazing rec. facility I have ever seen: The Colvin Rec Center at OSU. Wow.

But here is the $64,000 question: having messed my knees up during high school football, it hurts to get in a good leg workout but I do it anyway. Any advice?

I played high school and college ball, and like you my knees are pretty jacked up. I find that Leg presses are probably the best mass builder that doesn't hurt my knees. I usually do these first (after a good warm up) very heavy. I squat near the end of my routine, as I can go lighter as my legs are somewhat fatigued. I also do 25 minutes of light cardio before I train legs just to get my knees nice and loose.
