lol guys at my gym say working legs is bullshit.

any of you guys have those kinds of people? they come in every day do the same workout decline bench, and arms thats it and never go to fail. today they were talking shit about working legs, saying thats highschool shit and all i could think when i heard that is "is that why they arent making any gains" and when one of them said how much their max was i just had to chuckle to myself when he said he maxes at 185 and talked like its a lot of weight. my wife (5'2 130lb lean, squats 225) turned to him and laughed and said friends dont let friends skip leg days and when he tried to talk back she just made fun of his chicken legs and turned away in embarrassment. to give you an idea he is about 6'3 230. when im in the weight room i dont talk shit to anyone like how they do. i love showing them up and once that happens they usually leave the weight room. ill prolly get negged for this but im not trying to sound arrogant myself, i dont think im a badass in my own mind by any means but i love proving and showing someone up especially when i dont have to try. so you know more about me im 5'9 200lbs (skinny fat) 8 weeks ago i could barley do 155 on bench and im now at 225 and on squat i was struggling with 255 and now im repping 315 so yes im still kind of a pussy but atleast im making and seeing gains where everyone else decides to settle and then complains about plateauing.

just wondering if any of you guys come across the same shit.

why does 95% of the gym population focus on bench and arms? when i say gym im talking about your average joe kind of gym not the kind that produces body builders.
 
Board shorts cover their legs... Those same idiots wear their pants 10 sizes too big, so they don't have to do squats.

There's always going to be a few guys at the gym who barely if ever do legs.
But they are the type who as they say just want to stay in shape. They dont see the benifit in working the whole body like we do.
We group our body parts for certain days and work them hard thats why we gain.
Sounds like you have done very well in the last 8 wks. Keep up the good work and remember training after cycle is differant.

No where near as developed as that pic take away some muscle and add some fat to the point where there is some pudge and can't see abs but leave the legs as they are
 
Lmao. I have a few guys at my gym that do the same shit. All they do is bench and arms and when they bench they max out close to 4 times a week. That's all they do is lift as heavy as they can for a few reps. Just last week a guy was maxing out and had 230 on there and barely got it. After he was done I proceeded to walk up and do 12 reps of it and walk away as he was staring. Kid also had tiny legs and curls in the squat rack. Fucking idiots

I got two dudes, pretty young, that come in my gym. and throw 3 plates on and do 1/4 sqauts. they grunt. they stalk the sqaut rack, starring it down. they walk up the rack like they are going to wrestle the wieght. and its so anti climatic wheh they drop 6 inches. they look like the old asain ladies that use the calf machine as there leg press.
they other day they used chalk when they were squating. clearly new to the chalk thing as they left and there was a 6 foot circle of dust. they move over to the preacher bench pull off 25 pound wieght from one side that the bar and other side go flipping off almost hitting a older lady doing to 8 pound dumbell curves style giant set. then they are pounding raisens(?) while they are working out and there are raisens everywhere. oh the impressive 3 plates sqauts are still sitting unracked

So I said to they guys "why are you using chalk on squats. and why the fuck is there dust everywhere, and btw pick up your weights, wipe down the equipment, let the ladies though- learn some fucking gym etiquete, or come when Im not here". they both coiled up and disappeared. I have not seen them at the gym in two weeks, I can in last night they saw me walk in and they packed up and started leaving. I grabbed them and said "im not trying to be a dick. Im trying to point out your the dick. and you dont even know it. dont leave just stop messing around."

there egos were too hurt... fuck em. I was pissed off but I wasnt trying to run them out of the gym.
 
At my gym the only people I ever see doing legs consistent is myself, group of powerlifters, and a guy who works legs like people work their chest. Shitty thing is we all go at the same time so we actually had to get together because we only have one cage for squats. So the whole friday leg day shit didn't work lol. I knock my legs out on monday. Get them over with and done.

Fuck regular gyms. Always get strange looks when I do deads or cleans. Of course I fart a lot, that could be it :thinking:


I do the same thing, I think it's my pw's that do it to me. When I'm about to do my heavy set I always take a quick bathroom break to make sure I don't get an unwelcome surprise in the squat rack.
