well, finally went to see the movie--
was goood!
The ghosts were awesome..
here's my question:
At the end..there were huge flying eagles that carried frodo back from the volcano back to safety...why could'nt he just flown the thing in the begining, dropped off the ring an be back in the shire for dinner?

No, the best part is when they are surrounded at the gates of Mordor and aragorn steps froward, looks back at the army of men and then Yells "Fpr Fodo" and begins running into any entire army of Orc. That was a total pump up!

Went to see it again a few days ago, except this time I had some company and oh yes!! The Dragon liked that wagon that she was draggen.

Actuatlly burner I have thought that samething before. I would have flown that eagle right into that volcaneo and gave big evil the finger just for good measure.

*side note* seeing as how so many people seemed to shed a tear for this movie and had the balls to admit it, maybe we need a thread on movies that maybe you cry.

I'll be the first to say that I cried that a scared little girl in the boat scene in Fellowship.

"I made a promice Mr. Frodo! A promice! Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee! And I don't mean to! I Don't mean to!"

That's right! Like a scared little prepubessent twevle year old girl!!

yeah, the music really helps to set the tone of movies. I was thinking about studying film scoring for a small amount of time when I was in college. I love that stuff...the music to braveheart is really great as well.

So get this. I'm told that tech registration is on the 14th so I'm just starting to get my forms and whatnot ready. Just got a call from my friend and it turns out that regestration is tomorrow and only tomorrow. What a blow!

I can't believe it. It's really dying. The thread is really dying.........where will I go? To Whom will I talk? I can't believe it. It has passed....like dew upon the mountains. Like a soft touch of frost on a warm spring morning it's disappearing right before mine very eyes.

I don't care if it's only babbling and nonsence, this thread will live. It's going to be the longest thread in history even if it's nothing but posts by the RedDragon. Man that last post was something, howabout we try for somemore. ALright when I was a youngboy I use to have these dreams where this crow would come to me at night a tell me things.
One night the crow came to me in a dream and told me that my grandfather was going to die. I blew it off of course but then sure enough the next day around noon papa died of a stroke. I told everyone but no one believed me, then a couple of months later the crow came back and told me that my father was going to die. As soon as I woke up I rushed into his room to tell him. He didn't look bothered at first but soon after that he became overly paranoid about it. And by the end of the day he was ghostly white. I can still remember sitting in the kichen when he got off of work. He stepped in the house and momma said. "John you look horrible."
My dad just shoke it off and said. "I had a bad day."
Then momma said. "You think you had a bad day? You should think about the mall man, he fell dead on our front steps this morning."
