Low Carb Days

do you eat the same carb sources and just less of it or do you have a favoured carb source when on low carb days?
 
It depends how low carb you're talking.

For me, low carb means less than 30g so the only source of carbs I'm getting is from vegetables. Even that is minimal.
 
As above, depends how low you class low. I have 4 different days regarding carb amounts. Leg days - up to 400g. Chest 200g. Shoulders/back 150g and rest days where I go <30g only from vegetables.
 
im talking about the food source really here guys not the amount of carbs :) i get my carbs from potatoe pasta and rice.. and some veggies think im best going with veggies only on the low days?

Potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, oat meal...
 
I try and balance it out in a week, so I don't take in too much.

yeah in the quote u quoted me on i said they are my main carb souce recently tho ive got alot more veg in my diet my diet didnt have any and was far to acidic, was just wondering on low carb days is it ok to get ur carb sources purley from veggies? im guessing it doesnt really matter its just a nutrient to your body regardless of what form it comes in?

I get mine mainly from green veggies on low carb days as they're very low in carbs meaning you can eat a ton of them to ensure you're full up.

Mushrooms are awesome too at only 0.4% carbs!

Getting carbs from veggies is a great idea, except they usually don't contain a lot except for a few like corn and tomatoes.
As long as most of your carbs come from sources that also provide other nutrients like fiber and vitamins and minerals, then you're doing good.

Fruit, vegetables, whole grain bread, sweet potatoes, oats, whole grain rice, potatoes, legumes.
