hey guys

ive been doing quite a bit of research here and ive noticed a lot of people have very specific diets...to be honest it seems like all they eat is manufactored foods with labels that will tell them "25 grams of proten, 12 grams of fat"...i mean to the average European such as myself, this means jack all

my diet: I go to work, where i eat on average a sandwich or two (a standrad sandwich with cheese, salami, whatever else), i come home to eat a HOME COOKED meal (anything form meat, to beans, with spinach or mashed potatos i mean my mom cookes a lot of stuff), and then for dinner I'll eat another meal probably eggs or perhaps another sandwich or something along those lines

i dont know how you people do it, but some of these hardcore lifters measure every teaspoon they eat, i mean what kind of life is that? I have to take 1 lb of protein per weight, how am i supposed to know how much protein my mashed potates have, or the cookie i ate, or the traditional italian food i eat...i mean comeon its ridiculous, all this talk about diet...i saw some of these guys they have an eating scedule for each day, i mean ridiculous "at 3:12 i eat one shake of Isopopkfspgktine, at 4:47 i take another shake of isotoposes" i mean comeon lol

if some of you manage to live like robots, all the power to you
i eat normal foods at normal times and with normal frequency (not every 2 hours HHAHahah get real i have a life i dont live to eat), with hardly any supplements other then protein, and i bulked up just fine and have a decent body

just my view, i think many people just want to keep in shape and look decent, they come to these boards for advice and they find all this specific information that no normal person can read, comprehend and actaully stick to as a routine...

but hey that???s just me

stick to your way if you want... no one is forcing our way on you... Well see who turns out better.

it's about educated yourself so that you KNOW what you are putting into your body for optimum health, performance and fitness. if you don't KNOW what nutrients are the foods that you eat then you can't possible KNOW if you are getting the neccessary nutrients that the body needs.

I don't think many of the people here deisre to be average (like a normal person) in any way. being average sucks, IMO...

Well this is forum and we are glad to help anyone. If someone joins the board and says they would like to eat better without any sort of plan we can recommend healthier choices for them to make. Its all depends on their level of commitment to dieting. What I dont understand is why you would join these forums only to insult those of us who take the time and effort to keep our bodys in optimal health. Please, say something nice or dont say anything at all.

optimal health? u eat food that comes in cans or shakes

thats hardly optimal health...

a person whos diet is made up primarily of supplements is hardly healthy...maybe tasting something other then power mixed with liquid would be an improvement!

How bout you stfu and read around a little more before you make yourself look more ignorant than you already have. The guys on here that do things right use supplements in very minimal ways compared to how much they involve good whole foods. What is your problem anyway?

Cookies have protein, YES. :p

In another thread you say you want to see your abs well one factor for many to see their abs is to eat right then again some folks are gifted and are just naturally lean. As far as measuring goes I did for the first six month's and then it became second nature to know how much everything was by sight. Shakes are simple ways to get a meal in when you can't cook they make 1 or 2 meals of my day. I ate very healthy before I ever learned these things so it wasn't much of a sacrifice for me to change my way's.

I'm not sure what posts you read, but most of "us" do not eat mostly manufactured food. In fact most of us stay away from anything processed and the only thing manufactured is the protein that we use to mix with oats, milk, etc. to supplement our protein intake. 5/6 of my meals are HOME COOKED from scratch! I consider my diet to be healthier than 99% of the people I know. Its well balanced, and full nutritious food.

FYI: This forum is not for "normal" people. Its a bodybuilding forum. Bodybuilding requires a lot of discipline and strict regimens. Hence why we calculate what we eat, to make sure we are meeting daily requirements.

You do realise that one of the wellknown Bodybuilders was european, dont you. In case you dont, his name is Arnold Schwarzenegger

The people here are looking for a better than decent body. This is bodybuilding site. We are trying to 'build' out 'bodies' into something better than the average Joe on the street with a decent body. And not just "keep in shape and look decent".

If that is their goal, then this is the wrong site. They need to go to some kinda 'fitness' site.

Normal people cant read and comprehend Quantam Physics either. But if a person is really really intrested and determined, they can do it. So if anyone is really intrested in building their body, they will pay attention and learn.

So post some before and after pics and show is what your diet plan had done for you and how your 'decent' body looks better than most of us. Care to back up your claims?

I couldn't have said it better BulkMeUp! :thumb:

warning: jealous euro trash alert

yes the AVERAGE european. thats all your physique will be. shitty to near average. salami everyday huh. lets see how your heart feels in 40 years. what we do takes alot of committment, your probably one of the normals that doesn't have the balls to do it. just another wanna be who doesnt want to clean food because it tastes "bad". eating for fuel and pleasure separates the outstanding from the AVERAGE.

This site isn't just for hardcore bodybuilders who want to compete or demand anything other than just keeping in shape or looking decent. It's for anyone interested in making a change in their lifestyle, anyone wanting to improve their physical fitness, or anyone who just wants to be healthier in general. Saying that this is the wrong site for anyone not completely faithful to eating and training obsessively is just plain wrong imo. If that were the case 80% of the people here wouldn't be here.

No i didnt say or imply that this site is only for muscle meatheads looking to step on stage. I said this is for those who want to look better than average and not just "in shape and look decent". This is a site about bodybuilding not just 'getting into shape'.

IMO, to improve general fitness and "keep in shape and look decent", as the owner of the thread put it, healthier food choices and general exercise/activity will help an individual to achieve that. One dosent really need to follow a diet regimen as most here do. This site serves those who are looking for info to get better than an average joe 'decent shape'.

As i said, most peeps are here to look better than average. Most here want a better body than just looking 'fit'. It dosent mean they are all looking to step up on stage. But they are here because they want to look better than the 'fit' type.

Yes this site will help them if they are interested, and no they dont need to be on such a site to achieve a 'decent shape' if they dont want to follow the recommendations. As getting into decent shape is not the prime purpose of this site.
