What is the best way to measure the nutritional value (calories, fat, protein, etc.) from food bought at Delis, Restaurants, etc.? While working, I often grab grilled chicken sandwiches, but after eating them, I'm not sure where I am with my caloric intake. Any suggestions?

i suggest buying a cooler and some rubbermaid and making and packing your own meals, its the only way to know for sure what you're eating.you made it, you know whats in it..:thumb:

well of course, great minds always think alike ;) :D

i went to a dinner theater with a cooler,it was a few weeks before my first show, i got the dirtiest looks, one of the guys in charge at the door got an ear full when he told me i could'nt bring beer into the dinner.needless to say, he said his sorries after the show was done.but in all honesty,it hard to totally clean when you go out.ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

They're both on the $$$ w/ the cooler idea,& people will get the wrong ideas @ times.I had a state trooper "check " my cooler once while I had been stopped for speeding.
Pre-packed deli meats usually have so much junk in them(lowfat=sugar)that you're definitely better off leaving them alone.

stick with the cooler idea i pack 4 sandwiches with bottles of water baby carrotts and a banana in a cooler everyday that i bring to work and leave in my truck so i can eat lunch and i know what i'm eating. Its also a good idea to buy your meat from a butcher and your bread or i prefer rolls and italian bread from a bread store.
The LIL ONE

If you buy your own deli meat, most delis have unopened packages of the meats in the meat cooler with the nutritional info showing.

IAB..dittto.......some times you get some crappy deli meats, you have to find good companies who make good meats.jennio-a company in my home town make's pretty good stuff.jennio is also know as the turkey store.
